Simply Sensational Events and Catering is a premier event management and catering company that offers many flexible catering and event planning solutions to businesses and individuals throughout the Northern California Region.

We specialize in production/coordination of events offering a complete list of available services such as fine linen, site location, wait staff, entertainment, décor and props, flowers, transportation and valet service, live music and DJ’s, sound systems, videotaping and projection, photographers, tenting, canopies, dance floors, magicians, clowns, catering (including baked goods) menus, themed events, and food stations.

Simply Sensational Events and Catering partners with events producers to help execute all aspects of our clients’ event.

What sets Simply Sensational Events and Catering apart from our competitors is that we offer a concierge services that caters to the needs of our clients’ surrounding their event for the day of service. Everything from running an errand, grocery shopping, to stocking a vacation rental with snacks.

We offer the inspiration, attention to detail, and culinary creativity that will allow our clients to make their event memorable.

Background of the Business Owner

Shirley Trainor has over 16 years’ experience providing customer Service working for just one employer. She has a 5year background in sales and merchandising working for the world’s largest Neckwear Manufacture.

Founder of Professional Women’s' Workshop is committed to educating women of color in underserved communities on how to create, design, and build successful businesses and other areas of interest.

A graduate of California State University, Hayward. Shirley has had the opportunity to learn how humans develop from conception to the end of life. She has had the opportunity to grow, learn, live and experience, the challenges in working with groups from various cultures and thinking out of the box.

Since 2011 Shirley has worked as an Independent Event Planner and Caterer with Linen Life Gallery, and Imagine Affairs Art Gallery. Creating events for individuals and companies, managing a staff of ten employees to serve wedding receptions, luncheons, bridal showers, birthday parties, Christmas luncheons, and volunteer appreciation dinners with of guest of 150 or more in attendance.

Long Term Development Goals

The first goals set for Simply Sensational Events and Catering is to build its clientele to at least 20 corporate accounts that do repeat business monthly. The second goal is to secure a Commissary of its own to operate from and reach net sales of $100,000.00 after expenses.

The company will apply for Certification through SBA and compete for business with the Federal Government as a woman owned small business, small economically disadvantaged business, and take advantage of the 8a business development program.
