8522J has spent most of its life in the Northeast with the exception of several years on wheels and hangared in Louisiana. Logs previous to 1988 were lost but past records from previous owner were obtained and airframe total time had been determined to be 1895 hrs. Duplicate 337 forms, weight and balance forms, and equipment list were obtained and updated. Air worthiness directives were researched and were found to be in compliance from past records and visual inspections. Recurring AD’s were C/W and Adloglog system to date.

Mods and improvements for 8522J include:

- Hooker shoulder harnesses/lap belts, new battery, fuel tank stainless steel screw kit, light weight Skytec starter and ring gear, replaced all engine fuel and oil hoses, Alt belt, ignition harness and plugs, bracket airfilter, corrosion X treatment, stripped, resealed and painted bottoms of floats (no leaks), replaced all float hardware with new from Kenmore Air, new spring loaded float pump-out plugs from Lake and Air.

- Includes brand new complete set of Kennon aircraft covers including cowl, wings, tail, rudder, and fuselage - cost over $1000.

Recent modifications include:

Micro VGs and JPI 450 fuel flow.

Plane is IFR certified. Paint and interior 8+. Floats are in fantastic condition 8+, with no leaks. Plane spent most of its life in the Northeast. By the looks of the floats and plane, little time was spent on floats and never in salt.
