I.  Call to Order

Forrest called the meeting to order.

II.  Minutes of last meeting

·  Forrest summarized what we covered in the last meeting.

·  The minutes are also posted on our Meetup site.

III.  Treasurer’s Report

·  Another organization wanted us to pay to be on a national directory but anyone could just Google and find Dharma Buddies.

·  Forrest presented the Treasurer’s report.

·  We raised $461 in Dana this quarter.

·  We had $187.94 in expenses.

·  Our ending balance as of 6/11/2016 was $5045, a gain of $334 this quarter.

IV.  Pride Mindfulness Gathering

·  We will have a meditation mindfulness gathering with Lotus Sisters at the Japanese Gardens in Washington Park Arboretum on Tuesday, June 21.

·  Doug A. got the event advertised for free in Seattle Gay News.

·  Doug A. wants people to pre-register for the Japanese garden tour before the sitting.

·  Mark G. created a Meetup event for the gathering and will create a separate Meetup event for the garden tour.

·  Starbucks will provide water and coffee for the sitting.

V.  Gay Pride 2016

·  We will have a booth at the Pride celebration in Seattle Center on Sunday, June 26.

·  Our booth will be in Fisher Pavilion and will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

·  We will offer meditation sittings behind the booth, probably short sits of 10 minutes.

·  Forrest created a sign-up sheet to attend the booth and he will send out reminder emails.

·  Mark will create an announcement for Pride and send to everyone on Meetup.

VI.  Meetup Update

·  Our Meetup subscription renewed for another 6 months.

·  Mark G. posted our first event: the Pride Mindfulness Gathering.

·  If there are any upcoming events, like the retreat, which we want to have as a Meetup event, just email Mark G. with all the details and he will create an event.

VII.  Cal Anderson House Food Pantry

·  We will spend $225 a quarter for food for the food pantry at Cal Anderson House.

·  We discussed the best way to shop at Costco for the pantry. We could invest in a $55 individual membership. Or we could use our existing personal memberships. Or we could get an organizational card.

·  John volunteered to use his membership for June and will bring in food next Sunday.

With no more business, Forrest adjourned the meeting.
