Vocabulary Lessons

This site gives specific lessons to use with favorite read alouds to promote vocabulary. Each lesson gives ideas and easy definitions for 3 to 5 words. Although, the site tells the teacher to introduce words before the book is read, Text Talk recommends imbedding the explanations of the new vocabulary in the book and then explicitly teaching those words through a number of interactive activities after the book is read.
