MEASURING and HEIGHT CARD INFORMATION
Effective January 1, 2010, exhibitors are no longer required to provide proof to Trial Secretaries that their dog has a valid jump height card as part of the check-in process. Furthermore, this change eliminates the need for a copy of the jump height card to be submitted with an entry form. Dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Form may still compete; but they must be measured/wicketed by the Judge of Record PRIOR to running in their class and this measurement will be valid for that weekend of trials only. The exception to this requirement is a dog entered in the 24” or 26” height division. However, if a Volunteer Measuring Official (VMO) or an Agility Field Rep is present; ALL dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Form must be measured at some time during the trial or cluster of trials. This does not preclude having the dog wicketed by the Judge of Record if the VMO or Rep is not available to measure the dog before its first run of the trial or cluster of trials. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to have their dog measured prior to running and failure to do so will result in the cancellation of any qualifying scores.
Height Card Process:
Copies of height cards no longer need to be sent with your entry. Please check the appropriate box on the entry form regarding your dog’s measurement status so the trial secretary knows whether to include you on the “Dogs to Be Measured” List.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The trial will be held in a covered arena with artificial turf for all classes. Your dogs must remain on leash when they are not competing or in the warm-up areas. (includes AKC recording fees of $3.50 for 1st entry and $3.00 for each additional entry of the same dog, per day) Please make checks payable to Youngsville Agility Club (YAC). Checks made out incorrectly do not constitute a valid entry fee and your entry will be returned. No refunds granted for checks made in excess of the correct amount if overage equals less than $10. There will be a $35 fee for returned checks, and the exhibitor may be asked to submit cash or money order for future events. All express mail must be left with no acceptance signature required. DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER: This trial is open to all dogs over the age of 15 months that are registered with the American Kennel Club or are registerable breeds that have obtained AKC ILP or PAL numbers, except bitches in heat, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance. Dogs or registerable breeds with an accepted foreign registration number are eligible to participate subject to Chapter 11, Section 1 of the Dog Show Rules. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds they may participate. The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely.
It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such cases, no refund of any fees paid will be made. Youngsville Agility Club and Teamworks Dog Training LLC, its agents, members, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further, assume no responsibility for injury to children.
REFUNDS: Entry fees for bitches that come into season after the closing date will be refunded (minus a $11.00 administrative fee per day) if a veterinarian certificate is presented to the trial secretary prior to the start of judging. Refunds due to illness or injury of either dog and/or handler will be made on a case-by-case basis by the trial committee and a vet’s and/or physician’s note must be presented prior to the start of judging. No entry fees will be refunded if the Trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, acts of God, public emergency, or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by vet or judge or barred from competition by action of the trial committee.
Dogs are not required to be at the trial until the scheduled time of judging. All dogs not needed for further judging are excused. The owner/handler of each dog is solely responsible for having the dog ready at ringside when it is to be judged.
Dogs under 6 months of age are NOT permitted on the show grounds of AKC Agility Events. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations
