AFTER WATCHING ACTIVITIES

10.4

Discuss these three themes.

1)The film presents two approaches to education: the strict, disciplined structure of the boys school as opposed to the freer carpe diem attitude of their teacher. Discuss about the two methods. Explain what you find most effective for yourself even if it is not linked up to what you saw in the film.

2)Another theme was the relationship between a teacher and a pupil and how close and informal such a relationship should be. What is your opinion about it? How should be the perfect teacher according to you?

3) The relationship between parents and children.

How much should parents be involved in their children’s lives? What kind of involvement is positive and helpful and which one is negative and destructive?
