- Outbreak Performance Standard
- Discussed/accepted by OB Working Group
- Need to submit to Steering Committee for approval
- Vibrio and S. Typhi Case Report Forms
- Two CRFs that are completed by state epis. Should be sent to CDC for every case of Vibrio, S. Typhi case;
- Information from these forms will be integrated with information from active surveillance;
- This are previously approved standards but a timeline has never been established; need to determine “a timely fashion;”
- Similar to NARMS, there should be a lag time. Discussions here, allow a “4 wk” lag from when the case was reported to when the form was received at CDC. Two months may be a more reasonable lag time;
- Needs further discussion at the Coordinators Meeting as to look at what is the current lag time;
- Need to change forms to add place for “State Lab ID;”
- “Target of ____% of Vibrio isolates received at state lab will be sent to CDC.”
- Change this standard to non-cholera Vibrio and fold into NARMS standard (#8)
- Deletions:
- It is OK to delete obsolete standards without going to Steering Committee. For example, standard for “data sharing” calls can be deleted.
