What a fabulous start to a new academic year! I have been made so welcome by all children, parents and staff and have really enjoyed starting to get to know everyone this week.
Children throughout school have settled into their new classes brilliantly and have impressed me with their high standards of behaviour and excellent approach to school.
Robinwood
As you may be aware our year 6 children have been attending Robinwood Activity Centre this week and visiting them on Wednesday evening it was clear what a fantastic time they were having. When I arrived they’d already enjoyed archery and raftbuilding (which seemed to have included a lot of children “accidentally” falling off the rafts – it was a very hot day!) I feel certain that they will have had an amazing time; including challenging themselves and developing vital team work skills.
Space!
Kingfisher class are already enjoying their new Space topic and exploring challenges in the role play area!
Packed Lunches
Here at Rawdon Littlemoor we are fully committed to being a healthy school and have the highest possible expectations for our children’s health and wellbeing. In line with this please could I remind parents and carers that only water is allowed with packed lunches and if chocolate is included this should be a chocolate biscuit, not bars.
The Playstop
There are some places available in The Playstop - our afterschool club in the Community Room if any parents are interested. Please contact Maxine Cook on 07834986643 for further information.
