Stop the Pressure Conference

This conference is aimed at staff nurses, ward managers, practice nurses, district nurses, care home nurses, podiatrists, healthcare assistants and other professional groups responsible for preventing pressure ulcers.
The theme of the day is putting a stop to pressure ulceration by stimulating debate, discussion and learning. It will showcase best practice including lots of practical support and ideas. Key speakers will include Ruth May, Nurse Director of Monitor, formerly Chief Nurse at NHS Midlands and East where Stop the Pressure Campaign was introduced. You will hear from experts within the field of Governance and Safeguarding and a patient who has kindly agreed to tell his story of developing pressure damage. In addition to a series of interactive workshops, there will be a mock coroners inquest facilitated by Weightmans Solicitors.
There will be an opportunity to visit exhibition stands and network with fellow colleagues.
This event is free of charge. Refreshments will be provided.
