Histon & Impington Community Appraisal Project

Your chance to have your say

Questionnaire

Will be collected by 26th July

What’s it all about?

Our villages have changed enormously in the last 100 years and will continue to change this century. But change can be bumpy, many of us are resistant, especially to imposed change. Care needs to be taken to listen and learn from one another. The HICAP (Histon & Impington Community Action Project) start-up team is endeavouring to do this and with your help we can begin to develop action plans to help our community grow and move forward into the 21st century with vision and enthusiasm.

This questionnaire has been carefully designed to allow you to express your views clearly and freely. Unless we gain an understanding of what is working well or badly in our villages now we will be unable to make sensible decisions for the future or to represent our community fully. Please try to answer all of the questions and DO mention the good and great, the bad and ugly AND the new ideas you have that will help move things forward.

Completing the questionnaire

The format gives a chance for everyone in the household to have their say. Young people in the villages will have had a chance to answer questions specifically aimed at them - but those over 10 are welcome to fill in this questionnaire as well.

Each person should fill in one column of the questions. Pick your number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 - and then complete as many questions as possible under that column. Even if there are some questions that you don’t want to answer, please work through to the end.

If there are more than 5 people in your household who want to complete the questionnaire, please contact us for a further copy. There is space for additional comments at the end, but please use a separate piece of paper if you wish.

We will endeavour to collect the questionnaire from you in about two weeks time - if we miss you, please drop it off at:

Jane’s Frames, Impington Post Office, Histon Post Office or the Library

The input from all of the questionnaires will be analysed over the summer, and a summary of the results and action plans will be published and circulated in the autumn. If you have any questions, please do contact us (names and numbers on the back page).

Thank you for your time.
