  • Father Michael handed out meeting schedules for the Parish Pastoral Council, Financial Council, and Common Meeting Nights

Financial Highlights

  • Father will look into a portion of the Religious Ed tuition being reimbursed to Sons of Zebedee
  • $4,550 of “income” was budgeted knowing that we are accountable for 50% of the DRE salary and benefits ($32,300)
  • Monthly DRE expense for Sons of Zebedee is $2,936.63 – expense is incurred for 11 months
  • Father Michael will see if St. Mary’s compensated Father Schmitz while Father Michael was on vacation
  • Contributions included a $350 check from the Knights of Columbus for Religious Education
  • Insurance payment of $737.83 was made and will show up on the October financial statement
  • Music expense of $550.00 has not been received from St. Mary’s (includes August)
  • FIOF Account: Needs a total of $10,786 to cover Faith Formation ($5,938), and Outreach ($4,848)
  • Raffle Account needs to be reimbursed $6,205 for the roof payment
  • Capital Campaign - $9,894 in pledges are due (collections of $7,586 are needed to break even)
  • It was noted that "Total Income" % of budget, and the "Total Expense" % of budget should be equal
  • Ideally, the income portion higher than the expense portion
  • The difference has been narrowing each month.

Note: The budget has been accruing cost for the Archdiocesan Assessment and Building Insurance that has not been paid yet. That made the Sept. expense percentage decrease substantially.

Common Meeting Night for Committees

  • Common Meeting Night was held onSeptember 17that 6:30 pm at St. Mary’s
  • Father Michael distributed the schedule for Common Meeting Nights

Chili Supper

  • Chili Supper will be Saturday, November 8 from 4:30PM-7:30PM
  • Posters will be printed and available for display
  • Raffle Tickets will be mailed to all Parishioners once Dawn has them assembled
  • A Country Store is planned for the chili supper

Building and Grounds

  • St. James parking lot project is planned for next spring
  • Area Asphalt and Asphalt Specialists will be asked to bid on the job
  • Pinnow Siding and Gutters will look at the bad windows and trim on St John’s church and see if they can clad with steel
  • There are some plumbing items that Father needs attended to in the house.

Stewardship

  • No new business

Human Concerns Report

  • Preparing for Thanksgiving and the Christmas Giving Tree
  • Will be helping a family in need in the Lomira area
  • Pie & ice cream sale at Midwest was very successful
  • $1,500 in profit was earned by both parishes ($1000 St Mary’s / $500 Sons of Zebedee)

Christian Formation Report

  • No new business

Liturgy Report

  • Committee discussed upcoming Holy Day schedules
  • Preliminary Christmas schedule was discussed.
  • It appears there will be a total of 5 masses held on December 24 and 25.
  • A parishioner at St. Mary’s will be compensating a “Help Out” priest so St. Mary’s can have a 9:00 am Mass on Christmas Day
  • Final Christmas Mass schedule will be communicated in November
