PARENT COUNCIL SUB GROUP MEETING

WEDNESDAY 31ST OCTOBER 2007

1. WELCOME

Sheena welcomed all present including new member Julie Goodfellow to the committee. All members were reminded to check that their e-mail addresses were correct to enable them to receive copies of minutes.

Minutes of the last meeting were approved.

2. MATTERS ARISING

Unfortunately nobody from our group were able to attend the Core Group Meeting, but was mentioned that maybe the Core group could help with bigger tasks.

3. OFFICE BEARERS

Treasurer’s Report

Hilary Jackson sent apologies but has sent in accounts for audit.

Thanks were offered to Sally-Jayne and Lynn for taking on position of Secretary.

4. EVENTS

STARS IN YOUR EYES

Rehearsals are going well and thanks were given to committee members turning up to help.

Jayne Turner gave apologies in advance of the night.

There is 14 Acts in this years show and video recording has been done at rehearsals.

Neil Woodcock to do a “surprise” act at the end, after the raffle but before winners are announced.

Jenny Robertson to do programme for the running order of the show.

Tickets are now on sale, going well (60 sold to date already!)

Scott Renwick dropped in and gave his apologies and presented his resignation from the Sub Group. This is due to taking on extra commitments but he is more than happy to help in any way when needed. He is still able to carry on duty at Burns Night.

Correspondence and Requests

We as a group have decided not to continue to subscribe to BACKCHAT.

6th Years requesting funds towards the publishing of their yearbook. Will reply after SIYE when funds available.

After Stars in your Eyes show, we will think again about Mr. Smart’s request for funds for Mangu.
