The Gold Coast Clay Target Club 2 Day and South East Zone Skeet Carnival was held on the 16th and 17th April 2016.

It was great to have 9 squads head to the Gold Coast for the last 2 day shoot in Queensland before the Nationals in WaggaWagga. Campers took advantage of the Clubs facilities and while Saturday was a little overcast, we had fine weather both days to enjoy the shooting.

We had 27 possibles on the scoreboard and 5 shooters were regraded up - Terry Morony, Rick Ball, George Findlay, Tahnee Davenport and Jonathan Liew. Congratulations on your great shooting.

A big thank you to all our wonderful shooters for making the weekend such a success, I was so proud of all the Skeeties who pitched in with refereeing/scoring and helping complete the programme.

My personal thanks to our hardworking Club Members, Debbie Young, Wayne Perry, Kent Mansfield, Mike Swale, Brian Zimmerman, Gary Crouch, Terry Morony, Kev Jackson, Natalie Pengelly and many others behind the scenes who made sure that we had good targets, full traps and beautiful club grounds.

A very special thank you also to our very generous sponsors - Alan Vacy-Lyle and Fragram Quality Tools, Ray Mahony and Australian Warranty Network, Jonathan Liew and Paradise Point Chempro and Craig McVean from Jacobs Well Tavern. I hope we did you proud!
