REGION 11 TAPT SCHOLARSHIP (HIGH SCHOOL)
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
The Region 11 and Vendor Scholarships are sponsored by the Region 11 Texas Association for Pupil Transportation Affiliate and its vendors. It is presented to a graduating senior of an accredited TexasHigh School. This senior must be an immediate family member (daughter, son, stepdaughter, stepson, grandchild) of a person employed in school bus transportation in a district that is an active member of Region 11 TAPT. (Note: a district must be represented in a minimum of three (3) Region 11 meetings per school year to remain on active status.)
AWARD
A one-time total of $500.00 will be presented to the selected senior of the Region 11 TAPT and Vendor Scholarship. After proof of registration and a payment for a minimum of 12 semester hours is presented to the Region 11 TAPT President or designee the Region 11 TAPT Scholarship will be presented to the recipient.
SELECTION
The Scholarship Selection Committee will be made up of a minimum of three current and active members of Region 11 TAPT selected by the current Region 11 TAPT President.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- The only place the applicant should place their name is on the cover sheet of the packet.
- The only place the applicant should place the school district where their parent, grandparent or guardian works is on the cover sheet of the packet.
- If the applicant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must also sign the cover sheet.
- The applicant must answer all of the questions on the application.
- Only these forms will be used to record information for the Region 11 TAPT Scholarship.
- Information must be typed directly onto the form, or computer generated or cut and pasted to the original form.
- When listing membership for the National Honor Society, clubs, athletics, etc., list all the years you have been a member and/or held any office(s). Consideration will be given for each year of participation. Be sure to list all offices held.
- Do not attach résumés or any extra sheets with additional information to this scholarship application.
- The applicant should not include their name or the name of any family member or school district in any of the responses to the questions.
DEADLINE: THURSDAY, MARCH 05, 2015 – 5:00 pm
Original Region 11 TAPT and Vendor Scholarship application, with appropriate signatures must be received by Thursday, March 05, 2015 before 5:00 pm. All Region 11 TAPT and Vendor Scholarship applications are to be returned to Ms. Pauline Bryan, Transportation Secretary, 1075 S. Kimball, Southlake, Texas 76092. Once received, Ms. Bryan will assign each application a control number and forward the application, without cover sheet and any names, to the Region 11 TAPT Scholarship Selection Committee. Ms. Bryan will be a non-voting member of this committee.

The decision on the winning applicant will be made prior to the April Region 11 TAPT meeting. The winner will be notified and announced at the April Region 11 TAPT meeting so the winner may be notified before the end of the school year. The winner will receive a certificate and be invited, along with his/her parents to the April or May Region 11 TAPT meeting.
