Easter Opening Hours
Nursery will close for Easter at 6pm on Thursday 13th April and will re –open at 8am on Tuesday 18th April. We hope you have a very Happy Easter.
Card Payments
If you usually pay by cash or cheque please remember that we are now able to accept debit card payments. We regret that we are no longer able to accept cash payments over £250.00.
Duvet covers & towels
If you are having a clear out, could you please let us have any unwanted duvet covers or towels, they will be gratefully received. Thank you
Comic Relief
Thank you to everyone who helped to support comic relief. You helped us to raise over £200.
Baby room
We welcome two new arrivals to baby room Felix who started this week and Zoe who will be starting next week after her holiday to Hong Kong. There are lots of comfort and cuddles on offer to make it easier to settle into the nursery environment (which can be a bit noisier than at home). Could we ask once more for photographs of family members to display around the room ( you might have noticed that we have them on the floor).
We aim to do some activities involving paint in bid to get ready for Spring, this will enable talk about colours, flowers, numbers etc.

Little toddlers
We would like to welcome all our new children to little toddlers. To follow on from our Spring topic during April we are going to be looking at animals. We will be singing lots of animal songs and rhymes and leaning and making animal noises.

Big toddlers
This month we will be enjoying lots of Easter activities and watching out for budding flowers. We will be spending lots of time outside so can we please ask that all children have shoes and coats with them in nursery.
Can we also please ask you to keep your nappy supply topped up in nursery to ensure your child doesn’t run out. Thank you

Little group
Moving on from looking at baby animals and the hatching of our chicks during April we will be enjoying activities relating to the farm. Along with animals, we will look at vegetables, fruit, cheese and ice cream etc. We will play the Farmer’s in the Dell, sing about Old McDonald and build our own tractors with the crates outside along with many other farm activities.

Younger middle group
As we come into Spring we will learn all about growing. This will include plants and flowers as well as baby and adult animals. If you are out and about and see any animals big or small, please take some pictures and share with our group.

Older middle group
This month we will be focusing on Spring activities. This will include lots of planting indoors and out and looking at the life cycle of growing plants. The children will also be having fun with their arts and craft activities for Easter and Spring. Could we please ask for an adult sock for the children to make grass hedgehogs.
The week beginning 10th April we will be having an Easter bonnet parade so could we please ask for each child to bring in a bonnet to wear. Thank you.

Hall
Congratulations to Jessica C who was the winner of the NHS flu bug colouring competition. Jessica attended a presentation evening at the Town Hall on Monday.
Our lovely experience with the newly hatched chicks has come to an end, the children learned and gained so much from this. We were lucky enough to re home them and hopefully have a visit from them in the near future.
Moving on from this we have started a topic on dinosaurs, we have planned some lovely activities for the children to take part in. This will then lead us onto Easter crafts.
The week beginning 10th April our child has the opportunity to take part in our annual Easter bonnet parade, so please pleaseplease get creative making a bonnet and bring it in on the days your child attends during the week. There will be a prize for the best bonnet, we look forward to seeing your creations.
