NAPM LLC Meeting – November 18, 2014
q LNPA WG Meeting Highlights:
Ø LNPA WG Meeting was held on November 4 and 5, 2014, in Atlanta, Georgia
Ø Co-Chair Elections held at November Working Group meeting
· Linda Peterman is resigning as the Working Group CLEC Co-Chair effective the end of the year due to changes in her job responsibilities.
· An election was held to fill the CLEC Co-Chair position at the November meeting.
· Brenda Bloemke, Comcast, was elected to fill the CLEC Co-Chair position.
Ø Non-Geographic Porting
· The Non-Geographic sub-team continues to work on the white paper development discussing technical constraints, consumer impacts, and regulatory impacts.
Ø Transition from PSTN to IP
· PSTN to IP transition effects on LNP continue to be an ongoing agenda item for the LNPA WG.
· The ATIS/SIP NNI Joint Task Force IP Interconnection Routing Report was reviewed.
· The IP-NNI Routing Technical Report documents mechanisms for identifying the preferred IP interconnection point for a given TN.
· This report presents multiple views of current IP interconnection mechanisms based on aggregate PSTN constructs, interim solutions based on all-IP routing using a per-TN registry, and a consideration of hybrid approaches across both mechanisms during the transition to all-IP.
· Potential impacts to the number portability process were discussed based on the options presented and none were anticipated at this time. The LNPA WG Co-Chairs will provide this feedback to the NNI.
· The LNPA WG will actively follow the work of the NNI Joint Task Force.
Ø LNPA WG continues the process to identify and discuss NPAC functionality that could be considered for sun-setting
· Participants reviewed the full list of items identified for sun-setting.
· Neustar will revise wording on the document and quantify recent activity for each item for the January meeting.
Ø LNPA WG received correspondence from ATIS regarding OBF Issue 3450, LSOG: Standard Validation and Submission fields for REQTYP “C” Simple and Non-Simple Port Orders
· A new “Non-Simple/Non-Complex” category of porting was established by the LSO.
· Five validation fields were determined for use for these types of ports.
· These fields are Account Number (AN), Ported Telephone Number (PTN), Zip/Postal Code (ZIP), Personal Identifier (PID) (if applicable), and Service Address Number (SANO).
· The LNPA WG also needs to know which other fields are required on the LSRs to submit the port requests and the Co-Chairs will respond back to ATIS with this request.
Ø Next LNPA Working Group Meeting.
· The next LNPA WG meeting is scheduled for January 6-7, 2015, in Scottsdale, AZ, hosted by iconectiv.
