Morrison-Exon Award Nomination
The NDP is now accepting nominations for awards at the 2010 Morrison-Exon Dinner!
There are many wonderful volunteers, party officers, and elected officials who are deserving of recognition for their service to Democratic ideals. These awards can mean a lot to these individuals, especially those whose work may not have as high a profile as others, but have still poured their hearts into the effort. The Nominations Committee realizes this, and wishes to make a concerted effort to search out worthy recipients from all parts of the great state of Nebraska.
Your few minutes of effort to respond to this request will be greatly appreciated. We are trying to make this as easy as possible. If you don’t know what to write about your nominee, just provide the name and as much contact information as you can for both yourself and the nominee. We will follow up!
The deadline for submission is Friday, April 16!

Morrison-Exon Award Nomination
Nominees for all awards shall be residents of Nebraska, active within the Nebraska Democratic Party for at least the previous calendar year, and have not received an award the past two years. See each award description for specific criteria that might apply. Award submission should be on the Morrison-Exon Award Entry Form. The form may be downloaded at
Bob Kerrey 1st/2nd/3rd District Volunteer Award
Nominees for this award should be volunteers who personify the spirit of the Nebraska Democratic Party. The award is given to an individual who is tireless in supporting the Nebraska Democratic Party activities and campaigns for Democratic candidates, and creates a positive image of the party and its candidates within the 1st/2nd/3rd District respectively.
JFK Award
Nominees for this award should be young persons (using the age criteria of the Young Democrats) honored for their exceptional volunteer activities and participation within the Party. The award is given to an individual who is active in energizing other young Democrats with Nebraska Democratic Party ideals and principles. Nominees do not have to be affiliated with an organized Young Democrats group.
FDR Award
Nominees should bevolunteers who personify the spirit of the Nebraska Democratic Party. The award is given to an individual who is tireless in supporting the Nebraska Democratic Party activities and campaigns for Democratic candidates, and creates a positive image of the party and its candidates.
Hall of Fame Award
Nominees should be elected officials who are dedicated to the principles of the Nebraska Democratic Party and who have contributed above and beyond the call of duty to the Nebraska Democratic Party and Democratic candidates for public office.
Morrison-Exon Award
Nominees for this award should be County Party officers who have worked tirelessly to promote the activities and values of the Democratic Party in their county and throughout the state. The award is given to an individual who has served, or continues to serve as an officer of their county party in the last year. Nominees should demonstrate a dedication to service, integrity, the organizing of their county party infrastructure, and support for local Democratic candidates.
Sunshine Award
Nominees should be individuals who are dedicated to improving both the Nebraska Democratic Party and their community. This award is given in honor of Carrie Howard andis open toanyone meeting the core requirements listed above.
