As you will see this bulletin is loaded with events…from good food, music, unique entertainment as well as worthy benefits (Hannah Fundraiser & Tootsie Roll Drive)…all at the Hall. I encourage you attend as many as you can and support our efforts to help with the financial obligations. Make this your “Night Out Destination”.

Appeal Letter
The last newsletter contained an Appeal Letter and showed our financial state. A heart-felt thanks to all ofthose responding with a financial contribution. We will continue to take any and all support whether monetary or helping with events. As you can see in this newsletter a lot of events will occur in the next couple months. We welcome your help and participation.
K of C Fall Raffle- $4500 In Prizes- Drawing November 10, 2017
Enclosed with this newsletter is a raffle ticket with a chance to win one of 7 prizes totaling $4500. Also, included with the purchase of a ticket is an open bar cocktail hour, dinner, and band. You need not be present to win. All this is included with the $50 donation. Additional meal / band tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door. The receipts from the raffle are used by the Knights of Columbus to further their work. Additional tickets are available upon request. If 200 tickets are not sold the committee reserves the right to cancel the event and return all monies.
Taco’s – Every Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Come and enjoy the best Taco’s and Taco Salads around, every Wednesday. Tacos are $2.00 and salads are $3.50. Carry outs are available for an additional fee of 50 cents. FISH TACOS the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Margaritas $2.00 and “CORONA” BUCKETS- 5 BEERS FOR $12. Everyone is welcome.
Craft Beer Tasting and Hors d’oeuvres - September 8
The Columbus Club will be sponsoring a craft beer tasting on September 8 from 6:00-9:00pm. It will feature craft beers from Orange and Blue, our Miller Product Distributor. There will be a large variety to choose from when you make your selection. For $10 you will get your choice of 5 (6 ounce) samples and we will provide Hors d’oeuvres. If you like what you sample you may purchase 12 ounce bottles to drink on site or six packs to take home. There will be many other giveaways that night as well. Everyone is welcome.
Intellectual Disabilities /Tootsie Roll Drive Sept 8-10
The Knights will again be participating in the annual drive will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This requires a tremendous amount of manpower to be successful. Stores, Banks, and intersections need to be manned Friday and Saturday, as well as churches on Sunday. Can you give a couple hours? Please arrive at the club 8:00 am Friday and Saturday for your assignment and to pick up candy and aprons. Golf Scramble – Sept 16
Get ready for the 2nd annual Knights of Columbus Golf Scramble which will be held on September 16. The event will take place at Wolfe Creek Golf Course with a 10am shotgun start. The cost is $60 per person which includes dinner, the golf cart, and many hole prizes. This is a four person scramble. Those interested in being a hole sponsor can do so for only $75. Please contact Allen Rathgeber at 304-8919 . Sign-up sheets will be at the Columbus Club Lounge and Wolfe Creek.Everyone is welcome.
Breakfast AYCE –Sept. 17
Breakfasts are from 7:30am – 11:00am. Menu consistsofScrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, waffles, potatoes, sausage gravy, biscuits, bacon, sausage, orange juice, coffee and milk. Adults $7.50 / Children, (12 and under), $3.50. Everyone is welcome.
Hannah Musgrove Fundraiser -Sept 22- Swiss Steak Dinner and a Play
The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Swiss Steak dinner followed by the play “TV Brides” on Sept 22. The dinner will be served from 6:00-7:00pm with the play following at 7:30pm. The cost for this very worthy cause will be $15 per person. Tickets are on sale in the Columbus Club lounge. Please support Hannah as she enters her journey into religious life. Everyone is welcome.
Karaoke Returns – Sept 23
The Columbus Club Lounge will be bringing back Karaoke on Saturday, September 23 and October 28 from 7 -11pm. This will be a unique music/video type Karaoke presented my Mike’s Karaoke and DJ. Come down for fellowship and fun. Everyone is welcome.
F. A. V. O. R. And Friends Bar Stool Golf – September 30
The Knights of Columbus will be participating in bar stool golf on September 30, 2017, along with the 6 other fraternal and veteran’s organizations and two establishments in Danville. Each group will be responsible for one hole and fifteen, 4 person teams. The cost will be $20 per person, $80 per team. Start now putting together your four person team for this fun and entertaining fund raiser. You can register at the Columbus Club. Of course there will be food, beverages and prizes at each location. The groups will also be selling a joint 50/50 ticket, $1 each or $5 for 6. The drawing will take place 1pm Sunday, October 1. Tickets are available now. Everyone is welcome.
Beer battered fish, or chicken strips, or shrimp – October 13
Throw-back Friday – We will be bringing back beer battered fish and shrimp on a trial basis. We will be serving the dinners from 5:30 until 7:00. Cost of the fish or chicken dinner is $7.00 for Adults and $4.00 for children. The cost for the Shrimp dinner will be $8.00. The menu will consist of fish, or chicken strips, or shrimp, french fries, coleslaw, bread, and coffee. Everyone is welcome.
The Chrissy Sparks Band – October 13
The Chrissy Sparks Band will be playing in the hall after the family dinner. Cover charge for this live entertainment will be $5 per person. The band will play from 7:00-10:00pm. Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy the evening. Everyone is welcome.

Swiss Steak Dinner October 27
Back by popular demand is the Swiss Steak Dinner. Plan on spending an enjoyable evening of great food on Friday, October 27. Dinner will be served from 5:30 – 7:00pm. The dinner will consist of Swiss Steak with mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, dinner roll, and dessert. The cost will be $10. Everyone is welcome.
The Dixie Flyer Band – October 27
The Dixie Flier Band will be playing in the hall after the family dinner. Cover charge for this live entertainment will be $5 per person. The band will play from 7:00-10:00pm. Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy the evening. Everyone is welcome.
Halloween Party – October 28 -Saturday
Plans are underway for our 5th annual Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 28 beginning at 7:00pm. Feel free to dress in your favorite costume. Prizes will be given to the top three best costumes. We will also have Karaoke from 7 – 11pm that night so start picking your favorite spooky songs to sing. Everyone is welcome.

Comedy Hypnotist Dan Lornitis - Nov. 3 and 4
Join us for two great evenings of fun, and “A hilarious interaction with the subconscious mind”. Doors open at 6:00pm with the show starting at 7:00pm. Tickets will be available soon for both evenings. Costs are $20 per person. This event is being sponsored by the Children’s Dyslexia Center of East Central Illinois. Come enjoy a great evening of entertainment and support a worthy cause.

St. Vincent DePaul – Roast Beef Dinner and “Food Pantry” Fundraiser – Nov. 11
