1. / Principle areas of responsibility1.1 / To provide a strategic role in relation to the management of the Nexus Infrastructure during times of perturbation..
1.2 / To manage and lead the Nexus Infrastructure Managers, and Engineering Planners operationally on a day by day basis.
1.3 / To provide the management of real time information for the Network from the Nexus Infrastructure Manager.
1.4 / To lead the Planning Team in all engineering and possession planning and production of real time reports.
1.5 / To lead the Performance Team in production of real time management of performance on the Network.

1.7 / Liaise and meet regularly with relevant departments to manage performance targets.
To plan and organise strategic performance meetings.
2. Dimensions
2.1 / Communications2.1.1 / To communicate with all levels within the organisation, including the relevant stakeholders with regards to Operational and Performance Management.
2.1.2 / Develop good employee relations by providing an effective communications system throughout Nexus and Nexus Rail.
2.1.3 / Liaise with Directors and managers to ensure the delivery of an effective overall performance strategy for Nexus.
2.1.4 / To ensure all reports are managed through the performance management system.

2.2.1 / Design and develop operational procedures for the management of degraded situations.
2.2.2 / Provide a proactive strategic role in relation to the development of the performance management system.

3.2 / Responsible for carrying out duties and ensuring procedures are in place to meet legislative and company standards requirements for Nexus and inline with industry best practice.
