LPKF at MEDTEC Europe 2011
Laser welding of plastic is gaining strongly in importance. LPKF Laser & Electronics AG showcases products from the recently inaugurated clean room: the presentations at MEDTEC Europe are in Hall 8 on Stand 8263.
“Laser plastic welding really scores in the medical sector in particular, because the technique is extremely hygienic, particle-free and safe. The rising demand in the consumer goods sector and the automotive industry also confirms the importance of these properties for product quality,” says Frank Brunnecker, Vice President Business Unit LaserWelding. The clean room only just commissioned in January this year enables the production of extremely high quality products – even clear-clear joints. This is done with an LQ-Integration welding head.Flexibility is enhanced by separating the head, and a dedicated cabinet to house the laser and the controls. The welding head of the LPKF LQ-Integration will be on show at MEDTEC.
Another exhibit is the LPKF LQ-Vario RTStand-Alone-System. This compact laser welding system is designed for the production of small and medium sized batches. The integrated rotary indexing tableenables components to be placed and removed while the laser system is already processing the next part.
In addition to the systems, there will also be application and production experts on the stand. They can demonstrate the benefits of the method with examples of medical applications, and will also be happy to answer any specific questions.
Even clear-clear joints can be created using the sophisticated LPKF laser technology.
