“Spark” classes are each Sunday from 9:10 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Three classes are being offered: Lynn Beil meets in the Conference Room and is finishing the study on the “Acts of the Apostles” followed by a study on “1 Samuel”. Lynn Rivas leads a “Round Table” discussion in the Social Hall with topics such as: handling stress, life is a blessing, declutter your life, overcoming worry, and more. And a new program is being offered entitled “Celebrate Recovery” taught by Doug and Marcie Smith in Room 43. This is a biblically based program using the actual words of Jesus to help participants overcome their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. ALL ARE WELCOME, ANY TIME! PLEASE CHECK OUT A CLASS!
KID'S KORNER IS BACK ....starting today during the 10:15 service all 3 year olds through Kindergarten age children are invited to come and participate in this alternative activity/teaching/worship hour. Each child will start out in worship with their parents and then be dismissed to Kid's Korner. We will meet in Room #36 on the south wing of the building, and parents can pick up their children there following the service. Women’s Guild – Our Sept. 6th Women’s Guild program will be a tour of Marcoot Dairy in Greenville. We will meet at church at
9am and leave for Greenville at 9:30am. The cost is $3. The tour is an hour, and they will have dairy products to purchase. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex. Lunch is on your own, but if you plan to eat at the Millersburg Store, please indicate on sign-up as reservations are required. We invite anyone interested to join us.
CHICKEN DINNER!! Please plan to join us on Sunday, September 18th for our annual Chicken Dinner. We will serve from 11am to 4:30pm in the dining room and until 5pm in carry-outs. $10.00 for adults/$5 for children 4 to11/and children 3 and under are Free!
Talents and Treasures Auction Quilt Raffle - The quilters have once again offered a beautiful quilt to be raffled for the church auction on November 6th. Tickets are available at the chicken dinner and can also be purchased in the office.
"Grief Share" begins again Monday evenings, Sept. 12 thru Dec. 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Grief Share is a weekly support group that helps you work through the process of grief. It can become an oasis for those who have lost loved ones as they make this journey together. For more information, please call the Church Office at 654-7459.
Wednesday Morning Followship Bible Study - will resume on Wednesday, September 7 at 9am in the conference room. All are welcome to join us each Wednesday morning as we review and discuss selected readings and study guides. We meet as a group at 9am to begin and are joined by Pastor Will from 10 – 11am for Q &A.
