SUPPORT GROUP FOR INTIMATE PARTNERS OF SEXUAL ABUSE SURVIVORS
The intimate partners of survivors of sexual violence are in a unique and complex position; they can be called upon to support their partners, and yet they often have many questions and fears of their own that they may feel reluctant to bring to their partnership. In response to their needs, the Revive program of Community Justice Initiatives is offering an 8-week psycho-educational group and Healing Circle. An ongoing peer support group will be provided beginning January 2017, should participants identify a need for continued support.

“Coming to this group and sharing with others in similar situations has taught me that I am not alone, and that I don`t have to be everything to my partner, that I have the right to say no when I need to, Ican recognize the signs of when I am putting myself at risk, and use better coping strategies. I can be more honest in my relationship. Having this support has drastically improved my life, myself-careAND my relationship.” - Partners of Survivors Participant
