Title: Noun and Verb charades

usage of: pronouns. subject/verb agreement.
.03 Elaborate information and ideas in writing and speaking by using: regular and irregular verbs, adverbs.
Arts/Theater:
COMPETENCY GOAL 2: The learner will act by interacting in improvisations and assuming roles. (National Standard 2)
2.05 Create dramatizations based on texts.
2.06 Demonstrate ideas and emotions through gestures and movement.
2.07 Assume the role of a variety of real and non-real characters.
Materials:
-two colors of index cards-container for the cards
-How Tia Lola Came to Stay
Instructions/Procedures:
1. Write different verbs on one color of card and different nouns from the story on the other color. Make sure that these words can be easily acted out.2. Have students come up and pull out a card. You can tell the class what part of speech it is or just let them decide.
3. The students should act the card out.
4. You can use a student helper to call on people (students should not shout out the answer, they must raise their hand and wait to be called on).
5. The student who answers correctly has the next turn.
