Power Enterprise Pools – Change Request Form v1.3 – INSTRUCTION PAGE

Instructions: This form is to be used to request changes to pool membership for one or more existing Enterprise Pools. Please fill out the table(s) below, for any pool that is changing (for example if a server is moving from Pool A to Pool B please include tables for both pools). Copy the tables and/or insert rows as needed.

When completed, please save this file as PEP_CRForm_<companyname>_YYYYMMDD.docx .Have an authorized representative (must have email address @companyname.com or @companyname.countrycode etc.) send a copy of this form to the Power CoD project office, at .Remember, to qualify for use as an Authorized Machine, a Machine must be any of the following:

Mid-range Pools:

  1. an IBM Power System 770+ (9117-MMD) with at least four cores permanently activated (that is, not mobile processors and not activated on a temporary basis through a separate offering),
  2. an IBM Power Systems E870/E870C (9119-MME or 9080-MME) with at least eight cores permanently activated,
  3. an IBM Power Systems E880C (9080-MHE) with at least eight cores permanently activated

High-end Pools:

  1. an IBM Power System 780+ (9179-MHD) with at least four cores permanently activated,
  2. an IBM Power System 795 (9119-FHB) with the greater of (i) 24 cores and (ii) 25% of all cores, permanently activated,
  3. an IBM Power Systems E880/E880C (9119-MHE/9080-MHE) with at least eight cores permanently activated,,
  4. an IBM Power Systems E870C (9080-MME) with at least eight cores permanently activated, or
  5. another IBM Power Systems Machine as generally announced by IBM to qualify for use as an Authorized Machine.

In addition to the above, to qualify as an Authorized Machine, at least 25 percent of the Machine's installed memory must be permanently activated.
