INTRODUCTION
We use water everyday for several purposes. Some of these uses include taking a sip of water several times a day to quench our thirst, and taking a bath. Plants and animals also need water to survive. Do you know that harmful substances are added to the water everyday that causes pollution?
THE TASK
You are invited to speak to residents in your community about ways to prevent water pollution. Several residents will take the necessary steps to prevent water pollution if they know what should be done.Your task is to use your technology skills to prepare a Power Point presentation on water pollution that you could present to the community.
The Process
You are to form groups of four.
Review the resources below to find answers to the following questions.
What is water pollution?
What are some of the causes of water pollution?
Can we prevent water pollution?
How does water pollution affect plants and animals?
Be as creative as you can with your presentation.

EVALUATION
Your project will be evaluated using a rubric based on the following criteria:
· Is your PowerPoint presentation clear and concise?
· Did you accurately include all the information requested?
· Are images clear and used appropriately for the subject?
· Did you follow all instructions provided in class about how to create the PowerPoint presentation?
CONCLUSION
We have learned that everyone can play a part in preventing water pollution. With your help, the people in your community can do their part to prevent water pollution. Congratulations on a job well done! But remember, everyone has to do their part to prevent water pollution.
