New pupils will require 144 Woven Sew-On nametapes in Style 3 and the text (Christian name and surname) can be woven in your own choice of colour. (If your child is here for just one term, 72 nametapes will suffice.)
In addition, pupils require a set of 30 NW8 One Inch Woven I.D. Tags with a white background with their initials and school number only. Again, any colour may be chosen for the lettering.
The Peel & Stick shoe labels are optional.
Please do not order Printed Iron-on labels as these do not stay on successfully after laundering.
The labels can be sent to your home address or to the school office at the address below.
The matrons can sew on the labels for you but there is a charge for this service.
NOTES :
- All items of clothing marked with * are available at the School Shop.
- Parents are expected to provide the full kit. All the clothes must be clearly and permanently marked with WOVEN NAME TAPES which should be sewn into place according to the enclosed diagram. This must be done before the clothes and shoes are sent to school. If this is not possible, the Matrons can undertake this task for a charge. This would be added to your end of term account. Please pay special attention to footwear.
- An email will be sent to you if any items are missing when returning to school; if these are not found, then arrangements will be made for items to be purchased by school and the cost added to your end of term account.
- Please also mark all washing materials, brushes, combs, overnight bags, keys on rings, golf clubs, tennis racquets, hockey sticks, cricket equipment, watches, pens, toys and books etc.
- When naming games kit please name both the inside and outside of each garment with woven nametapes as shown in diagram attached. Large Nametapes with Initials and School Number are advisable for outside (eg: AAA 111). A small nametape with full name and number on the inside.
- When ordering nametapes, please remember to include your child’s school number at the end of their name.
- Duvet and pillow should be clearly named in large letters with either permanent marker pen or large nametapes. Continental quilts/duvets (not the covers) will be sent home at the end of each Summer Term (except overseas children)
- Any enquiries about missing items should be made to the matrons as soon as trunks are unpacked at the beginning of the holidays.
- Clothes should be returned in thorough repair and necessary cleaning and alterations done in the holidays.
- Day pupils: All surplus Large and 12 small nametapes should be sent with your child at the start of his first term.
- Boarders: All surplus Large and 48 small nametapes should be sent with your child at the start of his first term.
The school cannot take responsibility for watches, pens or any other unnamed property
