Introduction

Buckswood School was inspected by OFSTED on 28-30 March 2016.

The OFSTED inspection judged Buckswood School as follows:

The DfE served notice on Buckswood School requiring the school to submit an Action plan setting out how the School will improve and meet the Independent School Standards considered not met by OFSTED, by 31 May 2017

Buckswood School engaged the Services of the ISI Consultancy to carry out (i) a whole school review and (ii) a Policy review and Health Check between 16-19 May 2017.

A copy of the ISI Consultancy report can be found attached at Annex 1

This Action Plan aims to address areas identify by OFSTED as being areas that did not meet the Independent School Standards and shows how the School intends to meet these areas.

It has been preparedfollowing feedback from the ISI Consultancy and having regard to DfE guidance document “Independent school action plans”(April 2016)

This Action Plan is structured in Sections to how the School intends to meet each ‘Part’ of the Independent School Standards considered not met by OFSTED.
