WESTMINSTER NATIONAL 2017 MEMBERSHIP REGULATIONS

This agreement is entered into between Westminster National Golf club (hereinafter referred to as the “Club”) and the undersigned member(s) (hereinafter known as “the Member”). This application becomes the membership agreement upon the signature of all members as evidenced below.

SECTION A:TERMS & CONDITIONS

Membership in the Club does not make the Member(s) financially responsible for any obligations of the Club, and a Member is guaranteed against assessments of any kind for any purpose. Likewise, membership does not give a Member(s) any right, ownership or interest whatsoever in any Club property. As an accepted Member, it is understood and agreed that the Member does not acquire, maintain or establish any rights, undefined privileges of equity in the Club or in the membership therein. The Club reserves the right to change the cart fees, guest green fees, annual pass fees, other fees or charges at any time.

Membership is open to the public, and the Club reserves the right to accept or reject any and all applications. This agreement and the Rules and Regulations of the Club control all aspects of the membership The Club reserves the right to modify, amend or alter those Rules and Regulations, as it feels necessary. The Club reserves the right to suspend or cancel membership of an Member violating the Rules and Regulations.

SECTION B:REVOCATION

A membership may be revoked and the rights of any person or person entitled to privileges under that membership may be terminated for any of the following reason:

  • Commission of any felony or misdemeanor theft at the Club.
  • Willful destruction of the Club, staff or customer property.
  • Physical or gross verbal abuse of staff or customers.
  • Continued or repeated violations of any rules or policies.
  • Conduct which detracts from Managements right to manage the Club and preserve its financial integrity.

SECTION C:RULES & REGULATIONS

Each member agrees to abide by all rules and regulations established by Management relating to the conduct of members and other customers of the Club. Said rules include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Management reserves the right to pair golfers to help complete a foursome.
  • A maximum of two (2) riders and two (2) golf bags are permitted on a golf cart.
  • Golfers must be sixteen (16) years old and must have a valid drivers license to operate a golf cart.
  • All food and beverages must be purchased from Westminster National Golf Course. The MD Liquor Control Board prohibits anyone from bringing alcoholic beverages onto the golf course property. Personal coolers are not permitted.
  • Proper Golf attire is required at all times.
  • Management reserves the right to close the golf course at anytime, not only for inclement weather, but also for either league or outing play.
  • Golfers are responsible for any and all negligent damages on Westminster National property, including but not limited to golf carts.

SECTION D:TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP

The club’s ownership or management reserves the right to cancel the membership at anytime. Incase of cancellation, the appropriate pro ration of fees paid will be reimbursed to the member. A member of the Club may resign at any time with the One year period or end of prorated period, but the Club shall accept no resignation until all financial obligations of the member are settled in full. No refund or pro-ration of any fee or other prepaid charges shall be made to any member desiring to resign from the Club, and all prepaid charges shall be forfeited to the Club. Upon resignation of a member, all right, title and interest of the member in the membership possessed by the member prior to such resignation shall revert to the Club. A resigning member shall remain liable in full for all charges accrued up to the date of resignation, even if the resigning member has not used the Facility. All resignations must be in writing and sent by certified, U.S. Mail at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of resignation.

SECTION E:ASSIGNMENT

The Club reserves the right to assign or transfer all its rights, entitlements, obligations and duties in this membership agreement to any person or entity; and the Member herby agree that any such assignment or transfer is effective after thirty days of written notice.
