Speedy Immigration Inspection (SII) for AmCham Members

Dear AmCham Members,

AmCham Members can enjoy speedier immigration service when entering and exiting Taiwan. The Speedy Immigration Program allows AmCham members with an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) to apply for an express immigration inspection at designated inspection counter(s) in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport when travel for business.

Who’s eligible:

AmCham Taipei Members with ARC and foreign passports

(Staff of member companies is not eligible)

How to apply

  1. Follow the application procedures on the next page
  2. Contact Ms. Hoat the Investment Commission on (02) 3343-5700 x 725 for any specific questions regarding the application process
  3. Send the completed application and supplemental materials to the AmCham office by registered mail for processing:

  1. AmCham will submit all completed applications to the Investment Commission every two weeks of each monthfor approval. The Investment Commission will then pass the approved information to the National Immigration Agency and TaiwanTaoyuanInternationalAirport. The approved name list will be posted on the National Immigration Agency website (
  1. Applicants should check his/her name on National Immigration Agency website and print a copy to carry along while passing through Immigration Inspection at TaiwanTaoyuanInternationalAirport.

Application Procedures

Applicants should fill out the following sections of the application form in Chinese:

1. Section 1: Fill out the Chinese speaking contact person and contact information

2. Section 2: Provide basic information of the applicant.

3. Section 3: Select one of the four criteria.

(1)Member company with an investment of NT$50 million in Taiwan

(2)Executive or manager posted in Taiwan by a multinational company or an

oversea Chinese/foreign invested business.

(3)Employed as executive or manager by a local company in Taiwan.

(4)With contribution to Taiwan’s economy.

Supplemental materials needed for the application include:

  1. A copy of your passport
  2. A copy of your Alien Registration Certificate (ARC)
  3. A copy of your business card
  4. If you selected criteria 1 - A copy of Company Approval from the Investment Commission

If you selected criteria 2 or 3 – A copy of your work permit.

If you selected criteria 4 – Supporting documents of your contribution to Taiwan’s economy.

NOTES

  1. The SII approval is only valid for one year and can only be used for the applicant himself/herself.
  2. This program is primarily used for business travel
  3. All approvals will be posted on the National Immigration Agency website at
  1. When a new passport is issued, the applicant needs to re-apply for the SII approval.
  2. AmCham is not responsible for the result of the application and lost applications.
