Affiliate Council Candidates’ Summary
The following TPCAR Affiliates have been nominated and are willing to serve as your representatives on the 2016 Affiliate Council. Please take a moment to become familiar with their background. You will be electing a Chair-Elect, At-Large Director (not Escrow, Title or Lending), Lending Director, and Title & Escrow Director. As incoming Chair, I will also appoint an additional At-Large Director.
If you are unable to connect to the ballot, or wish to vote by paper ballot, please contact staff at the TPCAR office for instructions. 253-473-0232. Votes must be cast by noon on Tuesday, October 27.
As an Affiliate of TPCAR, please plan to attend our monthly Affiliate meetings in 2016 and we’ll get those dates to you before the end of this year. We look forward to your participation in 2016!

Venetia has been serving Western Washington as a mortgage lender since 1978 producing loans as well as being the Federal Way branch manager for Evergreen for the last five years.
During her career Venetia has enjoyed the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of borrowers by assisting them in navigating the mortgage process and realizing the dream of homeownership. Evergreen believes in “changing lives one Loan at a time” and Venetia agrees with that philosophy. She personally strives to deliver the Nordstrom’s level of customer service to her borrowers and REALTOR®® partners while educating them on product options and mortgage knowledge.
Venetia joined TPCAR three years ago and values the goals and direction of the
Association, as well as the great partnership between the Affiliates. “We are a team here to support the amazing REALTOR® members of TPCAR”.
Venetia was born and raised in Lakewood but ended up settling in the Sumner area where she raised her two daughters who are now 24 and 26 – both graduates of the University of Washington and the light of her life!
Venetia is looking forward to another successful year in 2014 as a member of TPCAR!

Rebecca King
Rebecca King has been working in marketing in Pierce County for nearly 16 years. She has been with Click! Cable TV for the past 8 years as a Marketing Coordinator. She oversees customer acquisition for Click! and also coordinates internal communication, customer promotions, market research, data tracking and planning.
Prior to her current position, she was the Director of Communications and Marketing for Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound for 8 years. While with Boys & Girls Clubs she managed marketing as well as media relations and special event planning for Pierce and Mason Counties.
Rebecca joined TPCAR in 2013 with a desire to increase her connections in the community and extend the Click! philosophy of being engaged in the community they serve. “TPCAR has been a very fun change of pace for me. I love the people, the energy and the desire to be a service that is the foundation of this organization. I simply want to be a part of that,” Rebecca says.
Rebecca was born and raised in Tacoma, a city she loves! She has a degree in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University. She has two amazing children, her 12-year old daughter, Izzy and her 9-year old son, Hayden. They like to camp, go to the beach, spend time with a very big extended family and watch movies. Rebecca loves old houses and is keeps busy planning projects for her 1912 home.

Marty Lough
In an industry that sees constant change, Marty Lough has been engaged for over three decades in sales and lending here in Washington. Being involved as a board member for various organizations, president of the chapter and state mortgage association, and an instructor / educator for several disciplines, he has been acknowledged as a successful problem solver.
Well-travelled, politically active and a versatile radio personality, he brings information from all parts of the country to inform, educate, and entertain. Able to be conversant on many diverse topics, Marty shares his experiences willingly and objectively to encourage other in thought provoking dialogue.

George Walker
George Walker is currently the General Manger for Golden Service LLC a local Moving and Storage Company located in Lakewood, WA. George has nearly 37 years of experience in the Moving and Storage industry.
George attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana studying Business and Management and is a former President of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
George is currently on the Board of Directors for the Washington Movers Conference and is on the advisory Board of Operation Homefront. George likes to get deeply involved in every organization he becomes associated with.
