“Outstanding Maryland Clubwoman” Award
RULES
- Nominees must be members in good standing of a club of the GFWC Maryland Federation of Women’s Clubs, Inc.
- Ineligible members are: the current executive committee of the Federation, honorary MFWC presidents, former recipients of the award, and members of Junior clubs. (Juniors have a Junior Award for which they compete.)
- Only one nominee per club may be submitted.
- The entry form must include the name, address, and telephone number of the nominee; the name of her club; and the signature of the club president on the cover sheet provided by the Maryland Federation. In order for nominees to be anonymous during judging, the name of the nominee and the name of her club MUST be omitted from the main body of the recommendation.
- Entries must be 500 words or less, (typed, double spaced) explaining why the club believes the member is deserving of the award. Judging will be based on the nominee’s work in The Federation with emphasis placed on club sponsored activities accomplished in the year preceding the nomination. As background, mention may be made of club involvement over the years, and any district and state activities, which might indicate a continuing interest in the Federation. Only club related accomplishments will be considered.
