JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Program Coordinator, Investor Relations
Reports to: Sr. VP, Investor Relations and Board Governance
Classification: Non-Exempt / Supervises: N/A
Location: 2515 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA / Division: Executive
Work Schedule:Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
General Functions:Work closely with, and in support of, the Sr. VP of Investor Relations with direct responsibility for event coordination/staffing, oversight of Women’s Leadership Council and Club Connect, and for insuringall administrative tasksforInvestor Relationsand Governance are carried out in an appropriate, accurate and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Manage events, fundraising and membership growth for women’s affinity group.
  2. Maintain current information on national trends in women’s philanthropy.
  3. Manage early grade reading initiative in local schools and grow donor relationships within the program.
  4. Provide support for board governance as needed.
  5. Assist with departmental and organizational events as needed.
  6. Record minutes at meetings, compose and/or transcribe accurate minutes, following through to distribution.
  7. Coordinate and perform assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
  8. Handle and resolve all routine matters and administrative details not requiring the personal attention of supervisor(s).
  9. Arrange the purchasing of office supplies in a cost effective manner.
  10. Compose, transcribe and type correspondence, reports and other documents as requested or as required to complete assigned projects.
  11. Maintain appointment calendars as requested.
  12. Maintain records and filing system and retrieve information on a timely basis.
  13. Compile, duplicate, assemble, distribute and/or mail reports, forms, meeting notices, schedules, etc.
  14. Maintain accurate volunteer committee mailing lists, rosters, and committee assignments.
  15. Maintain organizational/individual data via correspondence and/or telephone requests.
  16. Coordinate registration for special events and staff registration table at the events.
  17. Maintain punctual and consistent attendance.
  18. Perform other work related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  1. College degree with 2-5 years of work in donor relations, program development or related experience.
  2. Secretarial experience, 2-5 years preferred.
  3. Computer experience: Microsoft Officewith excellent skills in Word, Excel, Outlook required.
  4. Ability to compose and produce accurate transcripts, committee minutes, correspondence, reports and other documents.
  5. Basic mathematical ability.
  6. Excellent telephone etiquette.
  7. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment to handle/resolve details and matters not requiring the personal attention of supervisor.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work well with internal and external customers and project a positive, supportive attitude.
  10. Must be available to work a regular Monday-Friday work week with occasional early morning, evening and weekend availability as needed.
  11. Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with insurance equal to or exceeding LA minimum.
  12. No outside business interests that might conflict with the goals and objectives of the organization without the explicit approval of the CEO.
