II: OFFICER REPORTS:

  1. SECRETARY: Will be posted to website when website revisions are complete.
  1. TREASURER: Checkbook balance $21,570.55. $1,500.00 to Leland Brant (website), $150.00 to Leland Brant for artwork for home show advertorial, $509.00 to Liberty Mutual Ins., and $860.00 to Travelers Ins.

III: COMMITTEE HEADS:

Scholarship Committee: The scholarship committee lost a member, Peter Tavino has resigned from the Association. The membership consists of David Corcoran, Dave Hermantin, Jim Sansoucy, and John Sima. The committee is seeking to require a more stringent application this year with load calculations, loop design, and loop sizing. Pat Carriglio did not approve of the loop sizing portion at this time due to the fact that the teachers did not have the loop suite for the software. It was raised that maybe CTGEO could give a class on the loop design to the staff.

GeoHome Show: The home show is taking place March 18th. The committee consists of Mark Henderson, John Sima, Dave Corcoran, Jim Sansoucy, and Guy Wanegar. The group has hired Fox Media to be the media partner for the show and it was brought up and voted to send payment to Fox Media in the amount of $5,000.00. The group is actively seeking sponsor partners. We have Evergreen Energy as the solar company, ECS Aeroseal has agreed to partner as well as verbal commitments from Energize CT and the Green Bank, Glastonbury Housesmiths LLC, and Appropriate Design. Tables will be provided, Banner Water is providing bottled water, Fox61 started advertising with Joe Furey.

IV: NEW BUSINESS:

The Website Committee has been working with Leland Brant to get the website up to speed. The site is progressing and the hope is to have it up prior to the Home Show even if it is not 100%.

Matt Macunas of CTGreen Bank has notified us that DEEP is looking into “R” Pace with a public comment period today. DEEP is accepting written comments for the remainder of the week. The program is similar to “C” Pace except for residential consumers.

Meister Consultants survey for NYSERDA showed that there is little room to reduce upfront cost of geothermal and there will probably be little expansion without affordable financing. NYSERDA is supporting efforts in NY State.

VI: OLD BUSINESS:

DEEP/CES:

We have not had any further updates from DEEP on the CES.

We have not heard of any further requests for information from Peter Klint or Joe Swift from Eversource.

Yale Study on Renewable Thermal Technologies:We are waiting for the release of this groups findings.
