Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Golden State Warriors – Mar. 21, 2016

Warriors forward Draymond Green

On the win…
“We’ve had a lot of tough games lately, but we know how to win when it comes down the stretch. We were able to use each other to make the necessary plays tonight. Big credit to our bench. Mo Speights, Ian Clark… big rebounds there in the third quarter. Leandro Barbosa, Shaun Livingston… those guys came off the bench and they really, really, really gave us a lift. Brandon Rush. Everything that they did is the reason we won the game. We’ve got to give them a lot of credit to them on a night where our starting five really didn’t get it done. But with the help of those guys, we were able to pull out a win and that’s what it’s about. That’s what we hang our hat on, is our depth. Big credit to those guys tonight they won us the game.”

On playing center against Karl-Anthony Towns…
“I love it, it’s fun. It’s a great challenge. He’s a good promising young big that’ll be around this league for a long time and I really relish the challenge.”

Warriors guard Stephen Curry

On Golden State not losing two games in a row this season…
“We get a situation where we need to come back from a tough loss and just found a way to get it done. It might not be pretty like tonight, but we’re competitors and we hate that feeling of losing. Obviously you go through a season like we’ve had and don’t feel it that often and when you do, you want to do something about it. It’s pretty impressive that we’ve not lost two in a row and want to hopefully continue that.”

On the team’s fatigue…
“It’s the NBA, man. It’s 82 games, it’s the same way every year. If we can’t handle the challenges that come at us at this point in the season, we’ve got to do something about it. It’s going to be nice to go home obviously, and be home for nine of 12 to finish out the season, but we’ve got to be better than we were tonight and in San Antonio obviously if we want to continue this push. I feel like we’ll get it right.”

On his shot the last few games…
“I feel pretty confident, just haven’t been making them and it happens. For me, I’m not going to get too high or too low. I’ve been shooting the ball well all season, but there’s a point where the same approach, the same defenses what have you, you might just miss shots. Just keep shooting, try to take good shots so you can hopefully get a rhythm and things like that which I can get better at, but I’m not going to stop shooting.”
