I&S Insulation Project Manager:
I&S Insulation is a medium sized insulation contractor with locations in Wiscasset & Portland, ME. We work with building contractors and homeowners on new construction and retrofit projects, to provide a variety of insulation solutions to fit all budgets, with a focus on high performance building enclosures.We are seeking a Project Manager for our Wiscasset location. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individualwho is able to work with minimal supervision. The work is varied and tends to be evenly split between time in the office and time in the field visiting existing clients, making site visits to ongoing jobs, and meeting potential new customers. No day is ever the quite the same. There is a routine, but plenty of variety to keep you interested & engaged. This is a sales driven position, but we aren’t fans of the “hard sell”. Instead we endeavor to be knowledgeable professionals who can offer quality insulation solutions at a reasonable price. Our best customers are high quality contractors who appreciate our knowledge and ability to meet their needs depending on specific job details. The Project Manager position embodies a wide variety of responsibilities. The Project Manager’s primary role is to provide price quotes/estimates to customers based on site visits, architectural plans, and verbal descriptions. Once a job is awarded the Project Manager interfaces with the crews and customer to schedule & plan the work. During the installation, the Project Manger works with the crew to clarify any technical details and ensure top quality work. Communication with Customers is a top priority. Safety, Efficiency, and Quality are ingrained in the crews with the influence of the Project Manager.
The ideal candidate is well versed in building construction and is able to calculate pricing based on field measurements or plan take-offs. BPI certification or the ability to become BPI certified is required. Excellent Communication skills including verbal, e-mails, and other means are required. At all times leading by example is a must.The individual we seek has the right mix of project management capabilities, strong leadership capabilities, effective communication & conflict resolution skills and a willingness to be flexible in their daily responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Experiencemanaging multiple project crews
- Effective project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills including articulating insulation best practices & techniques to clients with different levels of understanding of the processes involved
- Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and achieve quality results in a timely manner
- Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and customers
- Knowledge of construction techniqueswork flows, and industry best practices
- Adept at using the MSOffice suite
- Clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- BPI “Building Analyst” Certification, or ability to obtain such certification with 6 months of hire date
- Previous estimating experience
- Knowledge of building science theory & best practices
- Specific insulation industry experience related to fiberglass, blown cellulose and Spray foam insulation
- Experience driving larger trucks
- OSHA 10/30 Hour training
