Joeys are going to take their mothers on a train trip to Werris Creek where we will look at the Rail Museum, have a wander to the park, spoil our mums with a picnic lunch and then return back to Tamworth on the afternoon train.

GAME – BOATS, PLANES AND BALLOONS
Everyone stands around the circle and when the leader calls out (boats, planes or balloons) the joeys make the actions and sounds of the transport (that can take you overseas) called. Boats- arms up above their head like a sail, Planes- arms out to the side like wings and Balloons- arms out the front like you are carrying a big load and puff out your cheeks. Be careful though because the leader might try to trick you by calling out something silly like a bicycle.
CRAFT – RUBBINGS
Paper is placed over different coins and then the joeys rub over them with different coloured pencils to show the design and amount of the coins. These will go into the box to be sent overseas.
GAME – BALLOON TENNIS
Joeys are split into two teams and are sat on the floor in lines facing each other. The balloon is thrown in and each team must try to hit the balloon over the heads of the other team. Bottoms are to stay on the floor. More balloons can be added to make it more interesting. Swapping joeys positions on the line makes sure everyone gets a go.
CRAFT – DECORATE AND PACK THE BOX
Joeys help stick pictures out of magazines onto the box that will take all the goodies overseas. Joeys then help pack the box full of interesting bits and pieces including the stuff they bring from home.

Draw a picture of themselves with their friends at Joeys.
Game – Friendship Knots
Stand shoulder to shoulder in a circle. Face each other. Reach across the circle with one hand. Grab the hand of a member (not the person next to you)
Try to untangle the friendship/human knot. Here are some strategies: Duck under each other's arms. Squat down while someone steps over your arm. Move slowly, one person at a time. Talk to each other and work toether.
Learn to work as a team. In the end some people may end up facing outward instead of inward. That is ok. Try it a second time. See if you can untangle faster than the first.
Craft – Friendship Bracelets
Joeys plait or bead bracelets/bands to give to their buddies.
Fuzzie Explanation
A fuzzie is something nice that we can do for our buddies. It is a small note to our buddies to help cheer them up if they are sad or having a bad day. Each joeys makes a bag and also writes a small note to each joey in the mob, ie: “Keego has a great laugh that makes me smile”.
Craft - Fuzzie Bag
A fuzzie bag is a self decorated bag to keep notes in from your friends. Sit with parent helpers, keego and possum and they will help write out all the fuzzies. They joeys then decorate the notes and once they are finished they put their notes in each other's fuzzie bag.
Game – I'm Your Friend.
Children sit together on the floor of a rug. One child sits in the chairwith his/her back to the grou, wit their eyes closed and hands covering their eyes. Someone from the group tiptoes up to the chair, taps the child sitting in it on the back and in a disguised or funny voice says, “Do you know me? I'm your friend”. The mystery child then rejoins the group and the guessing begins. The child in the chair uncovers his/her eyes, turns around and tries to guess the name of the friend who tapped and talked. After three guesses a new child takes the chair and gets a turn.

GAME – THREE LEGGED RACE
Joeys are paired up and are stood shoulder to shoulder. The joeys two middle legs are tied together with stockings (the dont hurt like rope) and then they have races.
GAME – CRAB CRAWL SPRAWL
Joeys are teamed up into pairs and made to sit back to back with their arms entwined. The joeys have to work together to try and stand up with out using their arms.
CRAFT – BUDDY BOULDERS
Joeys to decorate rocks how they want.
EATING – PIZZA
Pizza for all to share
GAME – ICE CREAM CATASTROPHY
Joeys pair up again and one sits infront of the icecream with his/her hands behind their back. The other knees down behind and wraps his/her arms through the first joeys. The joey behind then has to try and feed the first joey some icecream. After a minute or two they swap around.

Colouring In Sheet
Game – Fruit Salad
Joeys are paired up with names of fruit. They then sit down in a line with the base of their feet touching. A piece of fruit is called out and the joeys who have that name jump up and race along jumping over the other joeys legs back to where they were and then sit down. When fruit salad is called they all race one piece of fruit at a time.
Game – funny pictures
Joeys sit in a cirlce with a piece of paper and pencil in front of them. The joey writes their name right up the top and folds the paper so no one can see their name, then they pass it on. The next joey draws a hat and folds the paper over, the next joey draws the head and folds, then the then the shoulders, then the chest and arms, then the belly, the top of legs, the shins, and then the feet. The piece of paper should be close to being back to the original person. Open the paper up and see how funny the picture looks.
Craft – happy and sad masks
Two paper plates are decorated by each joeys using different coloured papers etc. Happy smiles on one mask, and sad faces on the other. The paper plates are stuck on the top of paddle pop sticks.
Book – Bully book from library
Book to be found from library etc about bullying and how it makes us feel.
Game – Happy face/Sad face
Leader reads out different scenarios and the joeys have to quickly think if that would make them happy or would it make them sad.

Friendship chain. – Joeys to write their name on a strip of paper and decorate. These strips are linked together to make a chain to hang on the board. Names of new joeys can be added as they join.
Game – Ankle Grabbers
Joeys choose partners and kneel facing each other. Tell them to try to grab each other's ankles without getting off their knees. They can use other positions, like lying down, for this game as well. The only stipulation is that their knees must stay firmly on the ground
Game – treasure hunt and story
A mixture of miniatures are hidden around the hall. Joeys are to find one each and then try to make a story up using the miniature that they found.
Craft – Friends Place Mat
Joeys get a photo of the group to stick on a piece of paper. They then decorate the paper anyway they like and have it laminated so that they can use it as a place mat.
Game – Aura
Here's a simple cooperative game for pairs. Partners stand facing each other at arms' length with palms touching. When they're in position, tell them to close their eyes and concentrate. With eyes still closed, they drop their hands, turn around three times, and try to touch palms again.
Craft – joey potraits
Joeys sit in a circle and draw a picture of the joey sitting to their right. At the end everyone will go home with a picture someone drew of them.
