High-level panel on China-Europe Higher Education Relations

On 18 April 2012, the Chinese Government and the European Commission are launching the EU-China High-Level People to People Dialogue (HPPD), a new mechanism that will support cooperation in various sectors and areas, one of them education.
To mark the occasion, EUA has been invited to contribute to a high-level discussion panel on “The 21st Century Student: Learning in a Globalised World”, to take place in Brussels, 18 April, in the afternoon.
The eventwill be an important occasion for dialogue between Chinese and European university leaders, and to explore further prospects and frameworks for cooperation.
The event will aim to gather 80 participants from university leadership in China and Europe.
After the panel, a cultural event and networking reception will be hosted by the Chinese Mission to the European Union. Seventeen Chinese university presidents from leading Chinese universities have already confirmed their attendance.

Please note that the European Union will be sponsoring a limited number of travel and subsistence grants to attend this event. If you require support please state this in your request with an estimate of the approximate costs.
