13:00 Arrival and lunch, initial meeting with project manager and project director

(13.45) Meeting with: Briefing for PVC (Professor Elizabeth Rouse, Deputy Rector Academic). We would like to know what the University expects to get out of the project and how they see it fitting with strategy and policy. We’d also like to share what JISC is looking to get from the Developing Digital Literacies programme i.e. to explore how institutions can support digital literacies development for staff and students, 12 projects taking different approaches and addressing different cohort groups of staff and students, to share conclusions to benefit the wider sector. Invite senior internal stakeholders to join the meeting at this stage: Pat Christie (Director Information Services), Dee Searle (Director, Communications)/ Nick Rogers/Philip Ratcliffe (Director, HR)

14:00 - A round table meeting with key project team representatives to include a student representative (if available) and introductions to team members and their roles. The project to provide a presentation/overview of the project to include an update on how ideas have developed since the proposal was written. Wider group to attend here (up to 12 internals).

15:30 – Tea. Programme Management Overview, JISC led discussion with questions around topics below with core project team (Shân, Chris, and all or some of Nancy Turner, John Jackson and Lindsay Jordan).

  • Core project documentation (e.g. project plan) + budgets
  • Project management arrangements (strategic and operational) – steering group membership etc.
  • Communication strategy and reporting (dates)
  • Partnership with associates – will they be on the SG. JISC’s planned work with associations.
  • Programme support arrangements – CETIS, critical friends, eval support. Timetable – programme meetings, cluster group meetings, 1-1 interaction with support team, online seminars – led by JISC Advance, (Doug Belshaw), gateway into services,
  • Technical issues – CETIS support.
  • Project evaluation plans and baseline data gathering – evaluation support and project plans.
  • Cultural/organisational issues – change management
  • Project support needs – does the project anticipate any support needs.
  • JISC Communication Activities e.g. Experts meetings, Innovating e-Learning 2011: Learning in transition

Finish by 16:00. A summary report will be produced for the team following the meeting.
