President Elect
Carol Gallaher MSN, CEN
Current Employment: Nurse Manager Adult and Pediatric ED and Intermediate Care Unit at Saint Agnes Hospital
Experience: 25 years as an RN including bedside nurse, supervisor, and nurse manager. CEN, Communication in Healthcare certificate.
Education: MSN Nursing Management and Leadership, currently enrolled in DNP program with anticipated completion in 2019.
ENA: Member since 2005
Active in local and state ENA: Metro Baltimore Chapter treasurer, MBC Secretary, MBC president elect, Md ENA Secretary, Md ENA membership chair, Co-coordinator MBC annual conference, Delegate to ENA national assembly for Maryland. Podium presenter ENA National Conference.
Statement: I have been a strong advocate ED nurses, welcoming the new graduate nurses to the ED, supporting professional development, and zero tolerance for workplace violence. As a nurse leader in the ENA my focus will be on increasing active involvement in the state council through shared leadership and open communication. I look forward to the opportunity to serve and support the dedicated care provided by ED nurses.
Pam Fox BSN, RN, CEN, CPEN
Current Employment: Staff nurse St. Agnes Hospital Pediatric ED
Experience: 44 years as an RN in roles including bedside nurse, nurse manager, and educator. CEN, CPEN, ACLS, PALS, ENCARE, ENPC and TNCC course coordinator and faculty, CPR instructor, Child passenger safety instructor. Nurse legal consultant.
Education: BSN in nursing
ENA: Member since 1973
Active in local and state ENA: Mid-Maryland ENA treasurer and president, Md ENA treasurer and president, Pediatric chair, Md ENA website editor, Co-coordinator MMC Annual education conference, Delegate to ENA national assembly for Maryland, participation in multiple committees for MMC and Md ENA.
Statement: My interest in running for the state position is to
- contribute my expertise and historical knowledge at the state level
- engage members to contribute to emergency nursing professionalism and current issues
- promote educational interests in emergency nursing
- identify members who can contribute to ENA at all levels

Secretary
Bradley Fernandes BSN, RN
Current Employment: Staff nurse Georgetown University Hospital Emergency Department
Experience: 1 year as an RN, 3 years as an LVN, 4 years as an EMT-B, with work experience in EMS in California and as an LVN in a community hospital ED near Boston.
Education: BSN
ENA: Member since 2015,
Statement: I still consider myself a newbie to the area having moved here in February of this year but I have participated in ENA Day on the Hill (5/2/17-5/3/17), the IQSIP Wounded Warrior BBQ (4/27/17), and the House of Delegates Office (3/9/17) to support the most wonderful, Lisa Tenney. Looking forward to my more active involvement!
Lena Sutch CEN
Current Employment: Staff Nurse St Agnes Hospital Emergency Department
Experience: 3 ½ yrs. as an emergency department RN, ACLS instructor, PALS, TNCC, CEN
Education: AD, RN, currently enrolled in RN-MSN program.
ENA: Member since 2014, Delegate to ENA national assembly for Maryland, Webmaster for Md ENA website
Statement: I have been an ENA member since graduating from nursing school. I’m currently acting as the webmaster for the MD State ENA and believe that by acting as the secretary I will ensure that information is readily available to share with the membership. I hope to serve on the council to represent the membership and assist with relaying information in an understandable, easily accessible manner.
Treasurer
Carolyn Sutch BSN, CEN
Current Employment: RN 4 at UM Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown
Experience: 40 years as an RN in various roles and areas of nursing with the majority of time working in emergency nursing.
Education: BSN, CEN, ENPC instructor
ENA: Member since 2006
Current and past Md ENA president, Delegate to ENA national assembly for Maryland, on-time speaker at National ENA conference.
Statement: I would like to be treasurer to support the activities of the members as they interact with our organization in education events, government advocacy, and networking. ENA has supported me significantly in my career and I would like to give back to the organization.
