Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez was born on July 22 1992. She is currently 21 and she is an actress also a philanthropist. Selena in her youth was on Barney but, as she got older she got more roles in movies and television. Selena has a universal role in Wizards of Waverly Place as Alex. Gomez soon took up donating to organizations while still being an actress.

Gomez has been with many organizations and foundations. Some are 10x10, A Day Made Better, Elton John AIDS Foundation, Stand Up To Cancer, Rosies Theater Kids, Ryan Seacrest Foundation, St Jude Children’s Hospital. Lastly my personal favorite Unicef.

Selena has been with Unicef since 2007. She is the youngest ambassador at Unicef. Gomez joined Unicef because she has determination, potion, and commitment. Also she wanted to make a point that no matter what your age you can always make a difference.

Selena is very involved with Unicef , her big project is #SahelNOW. In April 2012 Selena Gomez supported #SahelNOW , helping kids in the Sahel region of west central Africa. This is because they were in a nutrition crisis. Gomez spread the awareness by Twitter and Facebook. She promoted #SahelNOW with 11 million followers. That is a lot for the youngest ambassador.

Besides her big #SahelNOW project in 2012. Her first project/trip was in 2009 and it was to Ghana in West Central Africa. What Selena did in Ghana was provide the people there with food , medicine , and clean water. In 2011 Gomez traveled to Valparaise Chile to teach the people the nessacary thing they need for life and the gave them an education.

Unicef means United Nations Children’s Fund. Unicef works in 190 countries to save and improve kids’ lives. Also, they provide health care, immunizations, clean water, education, emergency relief, and more. To save the kids you can donate immunizations, therapeutic food, health care, schools, protection, transportation, food, and water. They need all that they can get.

Unicef has a goal and that goal is that they want no child to die of something that we can prevent. Every person can help, even if it the smallest things like just sighing. To the biggest thing like donation a school. Everything you do to help Unicef really does make a difference for the better.

Did you know that Unicef is a world known origination it has 226 celebrity supporters. That is a lot of celebrities! Just to name a few Alicia Keys, Angelina Jolie, Billy Joel, Brigit Mendiler, Chris Rock, Demi Moore, Donald Trump, Eva Longoria, George Clooney, Jackie Chan, Jenifer Lopez, and Kelly Clarkson. That is only a very little bit out of 226. Wow! My personal favorite is Selena Gomez.

Selena Gomez is such a role model. She is in association with 11 charities. That is a lot for just one person. She is the youngest Unicef ambassador, she is proving that point. Also she donates her time and money to her charities. Lastly she is very conches about what she does so that is won’t affect her job as an actress and philanthropist. Selena Gomez is such an amazing roe model.

Unicef is an amazing origination above the rest of them all. That is because Unicef help real people
