PRESIDENT'S REPORT
The 2012 season was yet another great season for the might Dragons. All of our teams from U6s to A Grade played good football, showed considerable improvement throughout the year and always played the game in the proper spirit. The overall improvement of our teams over the course of the season is due to the unwavering dedication of the coaches and the support staff. The club thanks them for all their hard work.
A great club like ours cannot function without the support of its members, life members and supporters. Thanks to all of you who help when they can and to the encouragement you give to all our players. A special mention must go the hard working committee, a relatively small group of people, who consistently work to ensure that all the teams have the best of conditions on and off the field. Especially, I would like to thank Marie and Bill who have been tireless throughout the year. They are great people who do not know how to say “I can’t”, because they always do whatever is asked.
Congratulations to all the award winners, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Special Needs team and to our premiership side, the mighty U8As.
On behalf of the entire club, I would like to thank the Ladies Committee, fondly known as the “Dragon Ladies”, for their efforts in the canteen, social organisation and fund raising. I hope you have another highly successful year in 2013.
Without the Referees Association and the Junior League we would not be able to participate in such a well organised and managed competition and, on behalf of the entire Dragons family, I would like to thank them for all their efforts.
The Dragons are a force to be reckoned with both on and off the field. We have great players, hard-working volunteers, loyal supporters and a constantly growing family. It is a great club with a proud history and I thank you all for being part of it.

SECRETARY'S REPORTI felt more at ease in my position this year, taking on board everything I had learnt last year. I still could not have done it without my fellow committee members who I must thank for all their assistance and support.
Our club fielded thirty teams, fifteen of which went into the finals with the 8As being our Grand Finalists. Congratulations to all our players for the way they conducted themselves as they make the Club proud, irrespective of where they ended up in the ladder.
Grahame and Paul were again able to form our Special Needs team with registrations growing to eleven. They played two games which were a delight to watch. I hope this side continues to grow and that other clubs in the district incorporate a Special Needs team so that this Comp can expand.
For the first time in a long while, we had a female Rugby League player this year, Sienna Connor, who joined the U6 Reds to play alongside her twin, Kye. I believe she wasn’t backward in coming forward!
We met the call from NSWRL to have our coaches fully accredited and I am pleased to report that now a great majority of them have attended courses and are fully certified.
The Dragon Ladies Committee once again proved to be a huge asset by organising fundraising towards the Junior Presentation, merchandising, the Trivia Night, etc, and supervising the canteen. This is a great group and would encourage anyone to join.
We had fun at the Sportsmen’s Lunch, Women in League events and the Junior League Ball where Grahame Wagener was awarded the district’s Volunteer of the Year award and the beautiful Natasha Campbell represented our club as Miss Engadine Dragons.
Thanks to all the managers for organising their teams, carrying out all my requests and keeping the parents informed. Thanks to our coaches for not only giving up their time to train our boys in the skills of League, but instilling in them a sense of mateship, loyalty and fair play.
Thanks to the Junior League for their help and to the Referees for keeping us on the straight and narrow.
My biggest thanks go to the Parents for their contributions in time, effort, and fundraising.
We had a great year and look forward to bigger and better things in 2013.

DRAGON LADIES’ COMMITTEE REPORTThis was our first full year as the Dragon Ladies, and what a year it was.
The Ladies Night Out at the start of the year is always an event not to be missed; there were lots of sore heads the next morning after one or two champagnes and lots of dancing and good times.
Our Freddo Frog fundraiser raised over $5000; thanks to everyone in the club for doing your bit to sell them. Our Trivia Night was an awesome night, numbers were disappointing, but those who were there had a great time. Hopefully next year we will double our numbers.
We have sold heaps of our new merchandise; it’s great to see so many people out there in the Dragons gear. It certainly stands out in a crowd; when watching the Sharks games on TV we could always see heaps of royal blue down on family hill.
We took on the canteen this year, with the club trialling duty before your kids’ games, which proved to be very successful. Thanks to all those teams who helped out, it is always appreciated. We implemented a few changes, our new lolly bags proved to be a big hit! Thanks girls for all the duty you did all year, it’s not easy when you’ve got 3 games of footy, netball & soccer to get to all over the shire and fit canteen in as well.
I would like to thank our committee, Kylie Ibbet (the best secretary in the world!!), Michelle Isemonger, Belinda Sheehy, Yasmin Noakes, Simone Peychers, Melissa Palmer, and Karen Robson. Awesome bunch of girls to work with, it’s been a lot of fun.
A big thanks to Wags, Marie and Bill for all your help and support over the year; it is much appreciated.
Congratulations to Wags on Volunteer of the Year for the Junior League, you certainly deserve it!!
It would be great to see some new faces next year; we need some Mums from the junior teams to get involved. You and your kids are the future of the club.
