NOTES TO STUDENTS

1.  This form should be used by students enrolled on the UGC-funded Full-time 4-year Undergraduate Broad Discipline programmes 01401 (Applied Sciences), 04403 (Construction and Environment), 54439-SS (Social Sciences) and 61431 (Computing) for selection of Major programme. For students on programmes 02405, 03403, 05406 and 24442-BDS, please contact your hosting Faculty/Department for the selection arrangements.

2.  Details on the Majors available for each Broad Discipline programme are listed in the Annex.

3.  The completed form should be submitted to the Faculty/Department hosting your current programme by the deadline specified by the Faculty/Department. Students are reminded to retain a copy of this form for their own reference.

4.  The hosting Faculty/Department will confirm you of your selection outcome within 3 weeks after the deadline for submission. Students who wish to change their selected Major programmes after confirmation will normally need to follow the arrangements for transfer of study.

5.  Students should seek advice from the academic advisor of the Major programme after confirmation on the selection of subjects before performing subject registration.

6.  The maximum period allowed for students to register on a programme will count from your first registration on the Broad Discipline programme, but not from the date when you join the Major.
