CAPSTONE DESIGN PROJECT September 2014-April 2015
Design of a Pressure Sensitive Digital Stethoscope for detection of Sleep Apnea
· Member of a three person design team
· Goal is to quantify pressure applied to stethoscope in order to acquire and record the best possible signal of the breathing sound; as well as to process this signal in order to determine the presence or absence of sleep apnea.
· Individual responsibilities include writing code for the microcontroller as well as designing the
hardware to provide real time pressure information to the user.
COURSE PROJECTS
Design of an Electrocardiogram January 2014-April 2014
· Worked with a team to design and implement the hardware and software necessary to construct an ECG capable of several functions.
Medical Image Processing Program September 2014 - November 2014
· Worked to design and implement an image processing program in Matlab that quantifies the area and perimeter of the different regions of an image.
