The USACE presented their various recommendations for the proposed seawall project at the corner of Beach and Wilmington along with the anticipated cost elements. Also, the USACE discussed possible funding solutions that have become available to all communities impacted by Superstorm Sandy.

The goal of this discussion was to review the information shared from the USACE and his experience with similar projects in other communities. Also, Tom was made aware of the desire of this committee to tie in the Seawall to existing Promenade, and he is going to explore potential options
- Heather updated us on the status of the dune pictures that where recently taken with the city’s drone. She shared with the committee a picture of the entire beachfront. We hope to be able to use this for a future dune maintenance program.
- We discussed and reviewed pictures of the North Wildwood seawall which was referenced by the USACE. Scott is going to reach out to city officials in North Wildwood to discuss their funding of that project and any insight they are willing share.
- Heather shared with us that all the historic pictures of the promenade and various other photos of interest are on the Environmental Commission section of the Cape May City website. Please see link
