JOBS:

·  R and N Jewelers- Jewelry and class ring consultant Sep 2005- May 2007

Duties: Involved with opening and closing of the establishment, maintaining a clean working environment, helping customers with jewelry purchases, and the head of selling class rings.

·  Starbucks Co.- Barista Oct 2007- Aug 2009

Duties: Involved with opening and closing of the establishment. Developing a good relationship with the customers by making various coffee drinks, maintaining a clean work environment, and making sure customer leaves content with their product purchases.

·  Test America- Temp June 2009-Aug 2009

Duties: Obtaining various water samples for a Miami pilot study, Picking up samples from Test America clients, and completing a range of office tasks.

·  Cleaning Services- Operator of a home and office cleaning service October 2009- Present

Duties: Developed an independent cleaning business for my financial support while completing my college degree. Duties included deep cleaning homes and offices on a regular basis.

OTHER IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES

·  Internship- Interned with Environmental Engineering Inc. observing and practicing hands on sampling techniques

·  Direct Independent Study- Working with professor, Dr Scott Markwith, at Florida Atlantic University and his PhD student. I was assigned to various research tasks for their study on Everglades Hydrochory. Those tasks included going deep into the everglades, with other 2 other students, climbing in the swamp water in order to retrieve and position seed sample traps. I also went with Dr. Markwith, traveling through the Kissimmee River to collect seed samples. Lab work included identifying seeds, forming seed keys to help in the identification, and other various small tasks.

·  Academic Service Learning Project- Worked at Worden Farms, an organic farm, harvesting vegetables.

·  Missions Work- Traveled to Ghana, Africa in 2006 for 3 weeks to provide medical services and supplies to the locals and assist nurses with taking blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. I also traveled to Israel in 2007, for a month, helping with a mission organization.
