Co-Sponsorship Request Policy & Application

Thank you for your interest in working with the Duke Women’s Center on your event. In order to process your request, please read and complete the following form and submit it at least 2 weeks prior to the proposed event.

In an effort to facilitate thoughtful and relevant co-sponsorship experiences, the Women’s Center will only consider co-sponsoring events that align with our missionto promote a campus culture that ensures the full participation and agency of women students at Duke through support, advocacy, and evidence-based programming.

Co-sponsorship requests do not necessarily mean the endorsement of one point of view; rather, we support co-sponsorships that intend to bring light to topics which merit discussion and align with our mission. Examples of appropriate programming are:

  • Programs that foster dialogues about gender inequities at Duke or in society
  • Events that bring attention to topics such as sexual assault, social justice, or gender identities
  • Programs that cultivate environments that are empowering to women or historically marginalized populations

If awarded, we request that you submit a brief follow-up report (via email) indicating the number of people attending the event and any other outcomes achieved. The Women’s Center staff considers requests on Wednesdays and will notify you by the following Monday. Please note that the WC reserves the right to see all publicity using our name prior to distribution.

Once completed, please submit this form directly to the Women’s Center via email at or drop off at 107 Few Fed. Additional materials that may help in processing this request (flyers, speaker bios etc.) may be submitted as well.
