A DESPERATE GANG OF AUTOLIFTERS CUM THIEVES BUSTED
The staff of Police Station Moti Nagar, West District has busted a desperate gang of autolifters cum thieves. The gang was headed by one dreaded criminal namely Ajay, BC of PS- Moti Nagar and is a habitual criminal. Ajay being a young BC used to threaten the people and extorts money from public. The king pin Ajay constituted a gang consisting of one Chaman Lal @ Body Guard, who was inspired by Salman Khan’s Hindi blockbuster “Body Guard” and wanted to have body like Salman Khan and wanted to go to Mumbai for Bollywood carrier. With the arrest of this gang half a dozen incidents of MV Thefts/Thefts have been solved. One motorcycle, two laptops and one Sony Ericson phone were recovered.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION
Incidents of MV Thefts and Thefts were increasing in West Distt., Insp. Rajkumar/SHO Moti Nagar has been assigned the task to collect intelligence about the criminals indulging in these type of crimes. Team of Police Station Moti Nagar visited the scenes of crime, met the complainants and studied the modus oprandi of the gang. Through secret sources, it has come to notice that one dreaded criminal namely Ajay who is BC of this Police Station has constituted a new gang and is continuously committing thefts & MV Thefts in Delhi. On this information, sources were deployed to collect intelligence about the latest activities and probable hideouts. On 01.02.2013, specific secret information was received to SHO/Moti Nagar that the king pin Ajay and his associate Chaman Lal @ body Guard will come from Patel Nagar on a stolen motorcycle Bajaj Platina bearing number DL-4SBJ-5727 at about 2.00 pm and will go to Bakkar wala via Moti Nagar to dispose off stolen motorcycle. On this information, a raiding party under the supervision of Shri Eish Singhal, ACP/Rajouri Garden consisting of Inspr. Rajkumar/SHO Moti Nagar, SI Manoj Bhatia, HC Ashok, HC Indraj, HC Narendra, Ct Rakesh, Ct Junaid, Ct Harikesh, Ct Maninder & Ct Vinod was constitutedand deployed at Moment Mall, Kirti Nagar. At 2.00 PM, one Bajaj Platina Motorcycle bearing number plate DL-4SBJ-5727 came which was intercepted by the help of barricades on the instance of informer. This motorcycle was driven by one Chaman Lal @ Body Guard and Ajay was pillion rider. On enquiry the above said motorcycle was found to be stolen in case FIR No. 23/13 u/s 379 IPC, PS- Moti Nagar, two stolen laptops of ACER and COMPAQ and one Sony Ericson mobile were also recovered from the possession of Chaman Lal @ Body Guard.
DISCLOSURE & MODUS OPERANDI
During interrogation Ajay disclosed that he belongs to weak economical back ground. He studied up to Vth standard and thereafter he discontinued his studies due to his disinterest. He wanted to become a big criminal and earn easy money and started to commit petty thefts but he was not satisfied from this income. Ajay has gone to jail many times and after returning from jail he was a need of money hence started committing crime. Ajay is very fond of wine and women and has many girl friends in many metro cities. Chaman Lal @ Body Guard is illiterate. He came in contact with bad elements of the society since childhood. He started doing many jobs but he was not satisfied from this income. Initially he started committing petty thefts but he was never caught hence started committing bigger crime. He was having high dreams of going to Bollywood and was inspired by a Hindi Movie Body Guard and wanted to have body like Salman Khan. The gang was committing crime regularly. They used the stolen motorcycle to commit crime.
