POSITION TITLE:Marketing Coordinator

Reports To:BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/MARKETING DIRECTOR
POSITION DESCRIPTION:Thomson, Rhodes & Cowie, P.C. (TRC) seeks an experienced Business Development/Marketing Director to support and grow its current practice groups and create new ones.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and capabilities
REPORTS TO: Shareholders

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Marketing Budget/Plan: Annually prepare a marketing budget and plan for shareholder approval. Semi-annual review and revision of budget and plan for shareholder approval.
•Marketing Materials: Significant responsibility for updating, editing, developing, ordering, and stocking firm marketing materials.
•TRC Sponsorships of Client, Prospective Client, and Community Fundraisers: Manage content and graphics for sponsorship ads, coordinate attorney attendance, and post-event follow up.
•Website Graphics and Content Maintenance: Assist with website graphics and content maintenance, including attorney bios, articles, blogs, events, careers, news alerts, practice areas, and community involvement.
•Attorney Social Media Profiles: Assist with reviewing and updating individual attorney social media profiles, including LinkedIn, AVVO and Facebook profiles.
•Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and Related Publications: Assist with listings and publication maintenance.
•Prospective Business Opportunities: Research and report on business opportunities.
•Speaking Engagements and Seminars: Assist attorneys with all aspects of speaking engagements and seminars.
•Email Campaigns: Assist with creating and managing email campaigns.
•Website Searches and Communications: Monitor TRC website searches and communications using software such as MailChimp, Google Analytics, and Leader Lander.
•Responding to Requests for Proposals: Assist attorneys with responding to client and prospective client requests for proposals and requests for qualifications.
•Edit and Proofread Attorney Publications: Edit and proofread attorney articles, blogs, seminars, and other marketing materials for grammar, spelling, accuracy and clarity.
•Track Business Referrals: Track outgoing and incoming business referrals and assist in expanding the referral network.
•Appreciation to Clients and Referral Sources: Insure that all firm colleagues, particularly attorneys, demonstrate appreciation to clients and referral sources.
•Networking Opportunities: Identify relevant networking opportunities for each practice area, at least monthly, and facilitate attorney attendance.
•Networking Events: Attend networking events and introduce attorneys to potential clients.
•Conferences: Identify conferences where business development opportunities exist and facilitate attorney attendance.
•Social Media: Utilize social media to drive new business and add value for firm clients and TRC colleagues.
•Lawyer Training, Idea Mining and Marketing Support: Regular interactions with attorneys to identify business opportunities and activities, and provide necessary training and support to attorneys to capitalize on those opportunities. Hold quarterly in-house marketing lunch and learns.
•Branding: Assist with activities such as promoting and refreshing brand.
•Public Relations Activities: Expand firm’s brand recognition, including press releases.
•Marketing Databases: Manage current and create new marketing databases for current and prospective clients, referral sources, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, or communications.
•Minimum of 5 years of marketing or business development experience. Experience in a professional services firm, such as a law firm or accounting firm, is strongly preferred.
•Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Excellent technology skills, including the use of electronic databases, electronic communication to clients, website management, social media, analytics, Microsoft, PowerPoint and Adobe.
•Team player with an independent work style.
•Must have high level of discretion and confidentiality.
•Experience with event planning preferred.
•Avid smiler.
