Release Notes: TrainSMART Version 1.4
As enhancements and fixes are made to TrainSMART we will periodically release a new Build. We are currently releasing Build 1.4. The enhancements mentioned below will automatically appear in your version of TrainSMART. There is nothing to be done on your part. This document serves as an introduction and summary of the changes that have been completed.
These changes are explained in detail in this document. If you have any questions please contact Robert McLaughlin or your QI Liaison.
Explanation of changes in TrainSMART version 1.4
- Two new fields added to Participants Report – Participants by Name
In the reports section, select Participant Reports. In the drop down menu select Participants by Name. Email and Phone have been added as columns that can now be shown. Clicking either (or both) of these check boxes allows this data column to appear in this report (Figure 1 and 2).

- There is a new section under reports for facilities
Click on the reports tab and there is now a facility section under this tab. There are currently two reports within this section. Trainings by Facility Participant Count allows reports to be run that return total number of participants by facility. Many other variables can be chosen to also appear in the report (Facility Type, Facility Sponsor, Region A, Region B, Training Name, Training Location, Training Topic, Training Level, and PEPFAR Category). Trainings by Facility Name allow a report to be run that will show trainings that have been taken by employees of a facility. Many other variables may also be chosen to appear in the report (Facility Type, Facility Sponsor, Region A, Region B, Training Name, Training Location, Training Topic, Training Level, and PEPFAR Category) (Figure 3, 4, and 5).

- Training Roster look and feel has changed and print button has been added
There is a hyperlink within all trainings, View/Print Training Roster, this report has been modified to change the look and to allow users to print directly from within the site and not have to export the report to print. To enter a training, click Trainings, View/Edit Trainings, select any criteria and preview, a list of all trainings that meet the search criteria appears, select any training. In the upper right hand box is a hyperlink in blue entitled View/Print Training Roster, click this a report is opened that allows you to view or print key information on a training. In the upper right corner is a hyperlink in blue entitled Print, clicking this allows the user to print the report (figures 6 and 7).

- There is now an information page up at
Trainingdata.org now is a live site. The site just contains a brief description about TrainSMART and a link that allows anyone viewing the page to contact I-TECH. In the future this site will expand to include training information, links, and other key documents (Figure 8)
