With Business School Administrator, Programme Directors, Admissions Assistant, Collaborations Office, Alumni and Marketing.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
  • Administrative assistance for the Programme Directors (and other academic staff, where appropriate) with quality assurance aspects of programme and course development and reviews (including taking on the role of Committee Secretary for the School Learning and Teaching Committee)
  • Administrative support for the School’s collaborative provision
  • Data analysis and market research for academic programme reviews and development and support for Business Admissions
  • Establishing an alumni database in the School (in co-ordination with the University’s Alumni Office) and providing administrative support for fund-raising activities.

KEY TASKS:
Administrative assistance for the Programme Directors (and other academic staff, where appropriate) with quality assurance aspects of programme and course development and reviews (including the role of Committee Secretary for the School Learning and Teaching Committee):
  • Formatting programme and course specifications for School LTC.
  • Ensuring programme and course specifications are completed in accordance with QAA guidelines.
  • Maintaining electronic library of programme and course specifications.
  • Assisting Programme Directors / Course Tutors with the Programme and Course reviews and development.
  • Preparing paperwork and taking minutes for the School LTC and ensuring SLTC documentation is appropriately forwarded to the Board of Business.
Administrative support for the School’s collaborative provision:
  • Ensuring collaborative partners’ programme and course specifications are prepared for approval by School LTC.
  • Co-ordinating programme and course reviews with Registry.
  • Co-ordinating collaborative partners’ exam papers exam scripts and ensuring they are sent for external review.
  • Record examination results on spreadsheets
Data analysis and market research for academic programme reviews and development and support for Business Admissions:
  • To support the Business School Admissions Assistant during busy periods and to provide holiday and sickness cover for Business School Admissions.
  • To complete data analysis and market research for Programme Directors and Dean for marketing / admissions purposes and for the development of new programmes.
Establishing an alumni database in the School (in co-ordination with the University’s Alumni Office) and providing administrative support for fund-raising activities:
  • Creating and administering a Business School alumni database
  • Research for Dean for fund-raising activities.
